FC Pinnacle Hill Sport or NrFc Howards Bandit

Post by TrlBustinBeagle »

Guys I have a very clean hard hitting bitch that I am about to breed to either one of these males. I am wanting to know any info on these males from guys who have judged, watched or have pups out of these hounds. If you have seen something bad about either one of these males please just pm me what you saw cause this post is not intended to bash either one just trying to find the good and the bad about both, Here is a pedigree on my bitch.

Bandits one of the better 14" dogs I have seen run...in the Midwest. Gotta love that Iron Eagle blood.
Never seen Sport run, but seems like he can get it done from what I have read about him.
Line up the pedigree then go watch them run.

Easy chief! Danny never showed at Central Illinois so I could measure Bandit so I guess the jury is still out. He could still be a true 13"

Size is not an issue on this topic. Thought everyone was done and over with the fact that Bandit is not a 13in hound. Its obvious that he can get the job done in the 15in class as well, with him taking 2nd at White Water this past weekend. This post is to find out more about both hounds through more eyes than just the owners.

Then go watch the hounds run. Nobody is saying size is the issue.

I can't speak for Sport, but have watched Bandit run a handful of times. I think his strongest trait is that he is a good track dog and has a good nose, like most Eagle dogs possess. He runs clean and doesnt get rattled by the pack. I've seen him run 3rd-4th dog back and turn the rabbit on dogs several times that like to race. I would say go watch both run and make your decision, I have heard nothing but good things about Mr. Noe's Sport dog. Now Bandit's owner, he's a real piece of work...... Danny, you know I couldnt say somethin good about your dog and not cut you down, didn't you???

I haven't seen sport run enoughtto comment on him, but I have seen Bandit. Bandit is a rabbit dog, he is not flashy, or a speed demon, he just has a very level head and he can make the turns when other dogs over run and go to swinging. He will cut you to pieces from the inside out. He also has one of the most honest mouths that I have seen out of Iron Eagle dogs.

i know ya really want input from people other then the owners but,i have to defend bandits speed issue, not that anyone has said anything bad about it,but yeah, bandit is not the fastest dog out there by no means, could explain why i got him officialed and ran the 13in class,he is no speed demon, but that is not because of his breading, bloodline or anything like that, and that is all i want to clarify,he was ran over by a dump truck at the age of 2 years and drug his hind quarters around for 6 months on larry howards farm, the vet said he would never run right again, well, the ol boy prooved him wrong, plus,he is almost 7 years old,as for the foot he throws, come see my spot dog,or steve princes diablo dog run, then you will see there is nothing wrong with bandit as far as puttin foot in his dogs, but yeah,he will run 2,3,or 4th and sometimes even the back of the pack on head up runnin days, but, josh patterson put it best,"bandit runs the same speed on bad scent days as he can on good scent days",and that is when he looks the best, his nose and brains work so well together that he runs the front and leads dogs around like puppies on bad scent days and he has no problem turnin a rabbit.and i quote kevin monroe at north central,"that is the rabbit turnenest mother #$^*@$ i have ever seen"

but the thing is,ya cant go wrong with sport either,i think ya have two very similar dogs here to compair, and i think roy will agree, they are two of the best track runnin rabbit dogs out there in my book, but, not many wanna read my book,so,i would suggest runnin with both and dogs outta them, see what lines up best with the traits of your female,i think either way ya go,your goin to get some good rabbit hounds that will plave ya on the wood more days then they wont cause they both have the same thing in common, they have brains, they dont make a lot of mistakes and they fix other dogs mistakes.........

I don't watch the male classes run very often at field trials. But I can't count how many times I ran my 15'' champion females with Sport.I have never seen Bandit run. I can truly say Sport is a complete package. I bred talkabout maiden to him turbo-white blizzard. I kept a 15'' female that is 5 month old .She has a great personality and good confirmation looking forward getting her started.I am going to breed NLPC FC TALKABOUT DOTTY and FC TALKABOUT KELLIE to him soon thay are both in now.Looking forward to these crosses

Both would be fine choices, but Showtime is the same style as they are; just wondering why he's not your style; I bred to him after the first time I saw him run.

I may breed to Sport myself; I put a win on his dam, Tango, and she was a really nice hound.
