Tri tronic problem

I wrote earlier about my G2 not working properly. I called tri tronics and the unit is 3 years old and barely used. and was told it would cost 175.00 to fix. what a joke that company is. my next unit will def. be a sport dog alot better warranty. my buddies 4 year old collar quit working and he called sport dog and no questions asked was sent a new collar. That is the way to keep someone as your customer. does any one else have a problem with tri tronics service. def. last tri tronics item I will buy

does sport dog offer a expandable unit with tone options?

The SD 2500 has tone but after two collars you loose the tone feture. However, I love the unit.

The big difference is that Tritronics has in writing a 2 year warranty policy, Sportdog has a written lifetime warranty. I don't know as to where I would consider Tritronics a joke because they followed there warranty. Good luck with your Sportdog I have heard great things about there product. If you don't mind the extra weight on the collar and less battery life they are probably the way to go, their warranty is longer and they are cheaper which is always a plus.
