So you are just going to ignore the 56 Billion that went to education? You see the problem you're having is you have your "Hate Bush", "Blame Bush" template but it doesn't fit. CNN, MSNBC and CBS are not going to give you the answer to this so you will have to think for yourself to answer this. That is why your template is not working.
Try this, research where education money goes and what it is used for and then answer the question. I know it would require you to turn off the liberal media programs and maybe do some reading but you might actually get an answer to the question. I know you won't like the answer because it will go against what your liberal leaders have been telling you.

Actually Beaglechase without researching I would say Bush most likely increased spending on education simply to push the bush education legislation (NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND). It would be hard to imagine he would cut funding for his program.

When the percentage of people working for the government or on government programs of some sort is too high, it will fail!!!!!! The tax burden is too great on the working class tax payer's. Just as happened to some of coraporate America, too many managers and not enough workers caused alot of companies to FAIL!!!!!!!!!! This is going to happen. Some on here are jealous of the rich, WELL I HATE TO BREAK IT TO YOU, but I have never heard of a poor man giving someone a job. If they over tax the richer class, they'll just keep what they have and won't do any more to avoid the tax. I know a few can't stand hearing that , face it, IT's A FACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pine mt. that is not accurate, federal education funding increased yearly under Bush from 42.2 billion in 2001 to 54.4 billion in 2007. If your schools were not funded it was a county or state problem not federal.

They knew when to buy protection because they created the products. All the bailout money is going to private gamblers because of default triggers. Even if the banks could'nt resell the 6% of mortgages in trouble that would only mean a loss of 700 billion (12.8 T X .06. But the taxpayer has shelled out 6 trillion dollars so banks can pay off the bookies. Its not over, either. AIG has to pay off even more gamblers who were right to short the worthless paper, because they invented the paper and knew when it would fail. THEY NEED TO CANCEL ALL CDS HOLDERS WHO DONT OWN THE ASSET. Hundreds of Billionaires are being created right now, while the rest of us eat canned food.
