the beagle police could have put the radar on him any time, i have nothing to hide, like i said big diffrence 13" and 14 1/2, if you have not seen the dog then how would you know, and besides i had no one complaining when i run him.

Danny, stop making veiled threats at a certain person like "target on his back." You threatened that person once before with the "meet you at a trial" routine. Stop it or you'll be gone. I'm not kidding. Let it go.

You have no idea how amusing this is to a beagler, outside the field trialing world looking in, LOL. Maybe AKC should just do weight classes instead of height, LOL.....

(Just out of curosity, Ron Conroe didnt you finish JRs top gun tyke? I heard several say he was over opps! Hey NC beagler didnt you run a dog Kojak that was nearly 14"? Hmmmmmmm, truth is a bitch , so much for the do-gooders i reckon) MAPLE I don't own a kojak;however,a friend of mine had a hound called KOJACK.We often carried dogs for each other to trials when the other couldn't go.Kojack was naturally deer proof and fox proof eventually my buddy gave him to me. I entered him in about 3-4 trials he never measured out.i really was just getting into trials. One day I was told by the judge he was odd sized that he may not measure in next time that you may want to call AKC to see where they are doing officials.I chose not to do so, and just quit trialing him. In all the dogs I have trialed I have only had one hound measure out 13 1/8. IN FACT I NEVER ONCE EVER TRIED TO GET AN OFFICIAL ON ANY HOUND PERIOD!! Those that are trying and have gotten officials on over size dogs need to worry about themselves as well as those responsible at the measurement stand. These allegations flirt with slander when you lack official AKC evidence to prove your case.

last time i checked 13 is the standard, not 13 1/2,and bandit did not measure 14 1/2,shure,there is a big difference but, over is over, that is what i have heard for page after page and mostly from both of you guys that just admitted to running a oversized dog in the 13 in class, will your dogs get an assterick? :moon:

I personally think this has been great! I think every organization should be watch dogged. We pay a lot of money into them each year and for the most part see nothing in return. I think the official measuring card has been abused for too long. It had it place but too many people have abused it. I hope that AKC will continue to spot check trials and look at the officially measured hounds. The same problem exists in all classes not just the 13 males.
I know for a fact that more people have been turned off by the lack of rule enforcement than they have of enforcement.
I wouldn't think a judge that knowingly runs hounds in the wrong class gets many assignments.
I just like the fact that Bandit will have to run in the class that he measures for. You will quickly see that there are some big hounds in the 15 class. Maybe you can whine and complain about those hounds and AKC will take a look. We should be able to watch dog ourselves but for various reasons proper rulings have gone to the wayside.
