my new hounds

here is a picture of my two hounds that I have had for a while, and two new ones. the new ones are the two red dogs. they have not been run but twice all season, the man that I got them from (Father-in-law) was injured first of season, and could not hunt them. made a deal with him and traded. out of shape but nice hounds.

good looking pack of hounds

not the best picture, but thanks I really like the older looking male. he was a house dog for the first three years of his life, and never saw a rabbit until I got him. I then sold him to father-in-law four months ago. then got him back. hardest part was getting him to pack with other dogs. pretty nice hound now. He jumped a deer last day that I ran, barked one time and then turned back to the thicket. made me happy.

I don't know the peds on any of the dogs, they are all grade dogs, well the tri male that stands in front is AKC, but I have never sent in pup papers and he is now 5 years old. never have cared what peds were if they could run. The one in the back is the best dog that i have. found her at local country store. the old men that are down there every morning said that she had been down there for over two weeks. none could catch her she had a collar on, but no name tags. I caught her with little to no effort. took her home for a pet, and lo and behold one day she ran a rabbit there on the farm. grabbed my gun and killed it. it was like a light switch for her. after that my wife said she would lay at the front porch all day long, She said that the dog would start to get up around 4:30 and then she would be running when I would get home by 4:45. she is a nice little dog. I can't beleave that no one called me or tried to catch her. I left a flyer up in the store, and even called it in on local radio swap shop. no response three years later. that is her ped.
