Dr. Chris,
I am very curious about the numbers that you stated that came from some Universities. Can you back that up by showing us some of these University studies. I would like to go on something other than just words from someone on this site. I have talked in great lengths about this subject to our Vet and he said if we watch the dosages given closely, we should be fine. I told him we give exactly 1/10th of a cc per 10 pounds of weight. He said that should be just fine. He also said he uses Ivermectin on dogs for the treatment of other parasites.
I may be wrong but I think I also read on some University study, University of Missouri I think, stating they found no damage to the kidneys related to the use of Ivermectin when given dosages such as what I mentioned above. I'll see if I can find it and report back.

Dr. Chris,
I forgot to mention that so far all our dogs that have died were due to anything but ivermectin.
Some, we accidentally killed ourselves, long story, and 1 bitch that was 10 years old when she died and that was due to a very bad infection in her uterus. Another bitch just died recently and I think she was 8. We had an autopsy done and found she had a cancerous tumor and her kidneys were just fine at that time.
I currently have another bitch that is 11 years old and is still doing just fine. Am I beating the odds?
