Controlling fleas on pups and nursing dam
I have a litter of pups that is 3 days old. I have noticed a few fleas on them. Not many but was wondering if there is anything I can give them at this age that can also be given to a nursing mother.

Hi Dale, Natural Chemistry brand DE FLEA pet shampoo works very good. it is made for newborn puppies, and nursing mothers. it kills fleas, ticks, and lice on contact. chow hound stores and other pet supply stores carry Natural Chemistry brand.here is a phone # of the bottle 1-800-668-7760. it is important to keep the babbies worm when washing them. us use the kitchen sink, we wet the pup with warm water then stand them on a clean towel on the counter and lather them up make sure to get their toes, and behind their ears and under the chin. rinse in warm water dry real good in cold weather. good luck cherokee kennel bluetick beagles

De Flea is a great natural product. It is gentle, yet effective. I also recommend Frontline for the momma. It is safe to use on Lactating females, but not the pups. It will help alot.
