richard i'm not saying you got bad dogs, but on here lately all you here about is speed, and all i was getting at is speed will do you no good in these kind of conditions, it takes a good dog right now if you want to kill some rabbits, unless you want to jump shoot them.

not having trouble with the dogs being able to run problem is rabbits dont want to run. just no place for them to even sit out dogs have to dig them out of brush piles then they run straight to next place of refuge

i think all this talk about rabbits not staying up is just an excuse for your hounds losing the rabbit    i have had good runs some are getting cought if that is a problum. your dog just have to be fast enough to drive it passed the whole if they are being ran hard your dog can smell them better and they dont have time to think whole all they can do is think run

If I could figure out how to transfer video from my phone to my computer I could show you some hounds running one into a hole...its not an excuse when your hound crawls two thirds into the hole and barks treed like a coonhound. I dont care how fast you say your hounds are, they arent faster than a full grown cottontail with a few seconds lead on them. Unless you are running Greyhounds that is....then all bets are off.
