Good to be coming home

Post by Hare Hawk »

Well we are finally on our way home from Afghanistan. It will be good to get home and get the hound out again. My dad has been running her in Northern Wisconsin in my absence and she is coming along fine. A 9 month old female out of Brankos Kasey and Scarlett O’hara. She is still a puppy but my dad had her running steady for two hours the other day before he was able to kill the snowshoe so I think we are moving in the right direction.

Anyway I started her this past summer but have never run her with another dog. She is doing fine on her own but I’d like to see her with another couple of dogs. I’m going to have a few weeks off before I have to get back into the civilian world and if anyone in Wisconsin wants to run I’m game. I live in New Richmond on the Western border but I’m willing to travel. My family lives in Rhinelander.

Hope that you are all having a good running season and had a good holiday. Please keep the folks overseas in your prayers. I saw to many good men go home wrapped in a flag. We will never know how good we have it.

Thank you for your service to our country. Best wishes and good running. Wish you lived closer to Ky but if you are ever this way, you are welcome to run with the eastern Ky boys anytime.
