How many here has bought a beagle out of Branko's Kennel??

I've seen some ugly posts in the past, so please do not hijack my thread and turn it into a slug fest.

How many has bought a beagle (male/female) from Branko's Kennel?? Those who have bought one, are you happy with your hunting/trialing hound?? In about two years I am thinking about buying a male.

I bought a male pup from Branko out of Ombre X Royal Blue. As it is with any pup, they may turn out to suit you and they might not. I started this one and kept him till he was around 7 or 8 months old. He was still young when I gave him to a friend of mine, but from the mistakes he was making I didn't feel he would suit me. Unlike most Ombre pups he wasn't easy to look at either.

We have gone to Branko for a few females. Never bought a pup or any young hounds, but we were very satisfied with them. We still have one old female we use as a pup trainer. We would still love to have the other female, but she died last year. That was one of the best hounds I've ever owned. She produced some nice pups and 5 have placed in derby trials this year. I would suggest buying one from them, but make sure you have some cash to spend on it.

I bought two. A male and a female. Kept the female, sold the male at a great loss. He was tuff on a rabbit, but lacked the hunt necessary to stay in my kennel. On the other hand, the bitch I started has hunt to spare and she will always have a place here on the Ridge. Like with any kennel, there will be great dogs, average and some not so good. I would buy from them again and most likely will at some point in time.

I have had serval from Branko"s some I paid for some were gave to me. Myself I liked the Heli-Prop hounds the best and have some good hound with his blood. I never had much luck breeding pups until I got some Branko hounds ,today I need not buy any pups.

I would'nt say the old is better than the new,because I havesome young Tuffy's that are makeing my Props's look at their hole card. But would say this ,its very hard to out do dead dogs.

I purchased a male and female from Branko's kennel. They both are nice pups. I also have a male directly out of LumberJack from his kennel that is does a very good job. They are a little pricey with the shipping, but they do a good job.

I have afemale here from Brankos kennel i am very well satisfied with her ,stamina ,honest mouth ,good line control ,she is double ali baba bred and double jack bred with lumberjack up close on bottom ,be sure the dog your buying is well started or broke for sure because if lightly started up there on hare it takes a while to turn them on cottontail ,basically try not to buy a started dog that you will have to start ,it costs a lot to ship them back if not satisfied.

I bought a female from Branko that I really like. And I have 2 Lumberjack males that came from Branko as well. I have seen good and bad in all breeds but what I have from them suit me.

We bought a few years ago directly out of Jack and Prop. The Jack female was awesome and the prop one was given to a friend so she seen les woods time, both produced exceptional hounds. We had a few grade dogs and other papered ones before that. They wer not in the same catagoy as the Branko hounds. My buddy has a male out of Warlock that seems to have the same old Branko qualities we like in him too. The Branko line has branched out alot since then, I've seen some I wasn't impressed by, but most of them I really like.
