I was out this morning and we ran 2. Hit one and made it to the hole before we could recover it. Tough walking in knee deep snow, and having to put up with the frickin wind. Sweat your butt off walking through the snow and then when you would stop for a couple of minutes and have to zip everything up because you where freezing with the wind blowing. Not fun conditions to hunt in but better than sitting in the house. Supposed to get more snow

More lake effect snows today and they are calling for 3-5 inches MORE tomorrow, with freezing rain and sleet forecast for Wednesday...Montana is looking better and better all the time. Perhaps Alaska.

SO MUCH FOR THE GLOBAL WARMING THE LIBS ARE ALWAYS CRYING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had the ice storm (NH) last week and this week we got like 2 feet of snow. I'm seriously pissed off at the public school system too...my son came home crying last spring because his teacher said global warming was going to kill all of the Penguins. They are DAILY feeding our kids this garbage...it's in everything our kids see and read (just like spay/neuter/adopt propaganda is)...I told my son yesterday that all the penguins could come live at our house cause we have plenty of snow and ice

I have a friend that pulled his son out of the class when they talked about global warming. He had to go to the school supt. and explain his stance, but he was allowed to do it. I think his kid had to do something else science related during the time spent on global warming, but at least he was not subjected to that propaganda.

After 3 days of being in the freezer, ( temps never got above 3 degrees, winds blew steady 20 to 40 mph), I woke up this morning to a balmy 15 degrees. Fresh powder on top of the ice. Winds let down to about 10 mph. I believe I'll go huntin.

I have found the best thing to do when it gets like this, load up the dogs and head for hare country. No holes just good runnin ! Two or three days of hare running in these conditions is like a whole week of cottontail running.

KB I didn't know you visited this board too. Glad to see you here.

Tony how's the running been for you this year other than the recent snowfall that's putting a damper on it? Luckily it's supposed to hit 45 this weekend and should melt some snow.

Danny I didn't know you were on here either. I'm Eric, the guy that knows Cork and I met you last year at a trial. Has the running been any better over your way?

Hey Eric, the running has been great until this recent snowfall clogged everything up. We have had absolutely awesome running at times, even had the hounds catch a rabbit a couple of weeks ago. The shortest run we had until this snow started was about 45 min. Doesn't allow for very much shooting, but lots of beaglemusic to listen to. I hope some of it gets melted this weekend...going stir crazy being off until Jan 5 and not getting out.

Chappy, there are very few people on this board that I have hunted with, and even fewer with the hounds I have now compared to a few years ago...those that have hunted with me however know that I need absolutely NOTHING from you or anyone else in the way of good snow hounds, or sod hounds for that matter...

Rain now, flood warnings in our county...more mess. This Saturday its supposed to be in the 40's. I think I see a window of weather where the running might be real good...good luck to all those in Michigan fighting the same weather.

Went out today for four hours. Shot 2 and put 8 in the hole. Figured the rabbits my want to run some more with the snow being wet and they could stay on top of it, NOT! I thought Sunday was tough walking, today it felt like you where wading through knee deep wet cement. Proud of the dogs, they had a REALLY tough time getting through the snow. At least I got my new .22 handgun broke in
