Very troubling. These individuals may be more dangerous than just a thief or druggy.
Well? Whats the story? You left the post hanging.
Hang on Steve. It will come in due time.

I will post the details soon. I hate drama and only posted this thread, against my first thoughts, but only looking out for other houndsmen.
This is the weirdest thing that I have ever experienced in beagling.

This is not the crew I seen. The guy in the blue truck that I seen had short black hair. I have seen him several times in the area.

Sounds like steven king is shooting a movie in the area. Good luck with the story.

I am going to go ahead and reveal the "new" info before my collar returns to me in the mail. Monday afternoon I received a call from a gentleman from Rochester, Ohio that had hunted Woodbury that day in the same area i had hunted Sunday, the previous day. When he turned off 541 onto TR400 he seen what looked like a shock collar hanging in a tree just off the road and not to far down TR400. There was also a fresh empty beer bottle on the ground under the tree. The regular collar was not found, only the e-collar. This location was very close to where Eddy had found Rosie. What desturbs me about this is if there is a person out there who is messing with hunting dogs, what is going to be his next move after he gets tired of just taking the dogs. Lots of weirdos in the world. I was going to wait and post this after I received my e-collar back in the mail which was mailed back according to me by a guy named Joe Moffet from Rochester, Ohio. He was there hunting with his uncle and father. He seemed real honest and his story sounded credible to me. I was going to shoot a pic of the package and e-collar when it arrived but decided to go ahead and reveal the info before I have the collar in hand.
I actually wish it had just been a thief but this guy never kept the dog or the e-collar so I have to ask myself what is his motivation? Sounds like a pretty deranged individual to me and he could need even more thrills going forward than just taking hunters dogs, knocking them around, then releasing them on the highway and playing hide and go seek with the collars. :loser:
Be careful and keep an eye open if you hunt out that way.

btw Rod...this is no story, just the facts as they have unfolded. The guy with the long grey hair was the passenger and the guy driving looked like he had short darker hair.

I remember back in the 90's we had a guy here in Ohio that shot and killed several hunters not too far from where I live. Lots of sick people in the world.

Pike ridge, Joe Moffet is a straight up guy. He hunts out of Holmesville and Killbuck club. Eddy should know him also. I'm running out that way so I'll keep an eye out.

Gbeagle wrote:I would more than likely say they are Methheads after your collars for quick money seeing as how ya'll are getting the dogs back after they heve been dumped minus the collars. More than likely one or more of them have been hunters in the past and they know how much collars are worth. Dont be surprised to see your collars show up in the future for sale in some pawn shops in region.

I was thinking the same thing. The EXP collars can be used with any other EXP transmitter out there. It's very easy to set-up .

I would be VERY SURPRISED if any pawn shop or hunter (buyer) ever checked out a serial number on the collars.

Ed,
I think the person that you are talking about is a guy with the last name of "Dillon". I currently work in the city of Canton and I believe he worked for the City of Canton. I believe that he was an employee for the Canton City Water Department. He killed people in several different counties such as (maybe Stark - can't remember for sure), Carroll, Harrison and Tuscarawas county where I was born and raised and living at the time of these murders. He started his killing with dogs and then livestock animals such as cows and horses. He also burnt several large hay and livestock barns down. Matter of fact and I don't even if anybody else such as (Law Enforcement) knew about this place or not. But I'm guessing not since all this stuff was still there and not collected for evidence, but I had found an old house out in the middle of Harrison County the spring of 2006 while on a farm I turkey hunt that had all the News Paper articles from all the different killings tapped to the bedroom door. Someone (I'm guessing Dillon) because of all the articles cut out and taped to the door also had an old washing board to wash cloths on and a cloths line strung across the room. Along with that stuff other items were found such as; portable propane stove, pots, pans, can food, packets of freeze dried food, meat curing supplies, blankets, pillows, some medical supplies (IV lines, needles, saline bags ), empty riffle casings, and tanned animal hides along with a few other living supplies found throughout this old house. Most of the stuff was in one room where the windows were still good and the door would still shut. I found this stuff in this old house kind of strange. I had told the farmer about this stuff and he said that nobody has been in that old house for 40 + years. He just said that it could very well be possible that Dillon did in fact stay there because he did kill a couple people within 10 or so miles from his place. I believe it was two deer hunters around the Tappan lake area. He seemed to target hunters and hikers/joggers. Just thought I would shard this. I'm not saying that these two people are doing anything like that, just telling a story regarding your statement above that's all. Not ment to creep anyone out.

And he has a Walker that he solo'd 47 yotes to the gun last year. I am hoping to get together with him later in the year and be part of a yote hunt over hounds.
I will give you a shout after gun week and will come back up to Woodbury area for some running or hunting.

Pike Ridge,

If you have the collar or when you get the collar you may want to take it straight to the Police Department and have it dusted for prints. Maybe this offender is already in the system and the police can go pick him up. Just a thought.

Thanks Joe Moffit. You give me faith in good honest Americans that do the right thing. I got my collar back tonight Priority mail. If you're reading this Joe, I sent a check to cover any expenses, etc.
