My friends this is a very difficult message to pass on.
Unfortunately beagling has lost a very dedicated person in the passing of Terry McBride.
I am sure like myself we all express our condolences to his wife Shirley and to all members of his family.
Respectively, Dan Kane

This is a real sad day for the beagle world. He is one of the guys who I had on my wish list to visit.
Re: Sad News - Terry McBride
I'll sure miss him. He was always helpful anytime I had a question.
The man sure was a Prop fan, now maybe they can hook up on another hard driving race in heaven.
I remember my favorite chice of words from Terry. he was decribing running Prop against some other great hounds and he said that Prop, whipped them soundly. I always liked that.
RIP McBride

Re: Sad News - Terry McBride
I can't let the thread go without speaking of my memories of Terry, and how he's helped me over the years.
I've known Terry since pretty much the beginning of my field trialing days, I would guess it to be 1998. Terry was wanting a logo to embroider onto their jackets and hats, etc., and Don Potts, whose BeaglesUnlimited board I helped moderate at the time, knew I played around with graphics and such. He introduced us and we got the logo made. When I started The American Beagler, Terry was my initial go to for information about the Canadian trials. I finally coaxed Terry into writing an article for the magazine in tribute to his dog and cyber-alter-ego, FTC Winterborne Boomerang (Boomer). We also worked closely together the first few years to get the Canadian National write-ups in TAB and he would make sure I got a good photo for the cover.
Years later, I finally got to meet Terry face-to-face in 2006 at the Ottawa Valley Beagle Club Trial, and then again that same year at the Canadian Nationals. As a publisher, I am indebted to Terry for his contributions to the magazine. As a friend, I am indebted to him for introducing me to Dan Kane. Without the two of these gentlemen, I would be bushels of friends lighter, and I am very saddened to see Terry go. As I understand it, he was at his hunt camp when he passed, so I'm glad he was doing what he loved to do up to the last day. That's all we can hope for each other.
Rest in Peace, Terry.
