If she doesn't have them today then I'd be taking her just to make sure she's ok!

My guess is she didn't ovulate till after the last breeding, the sperm can live in the womb for 72 hrs after the tie, so she could have them on day 66 from last breeding.
Nesting, going off food and body temp. dropping to 98f will get you pups... ;)

If she is not showing any distress I would wait another couple of days. I've had them go over a couple of days and have a normal litter with no problem whelping.

Make sure that there's no discharge that smells really bad. If not, she will probably go any time. If there is smelly discharge, she has a dead pup in her and will go septic if you don't get her to the vet ASAP. Otherwise, just be patient and watch her. She will go through her nesting ritual, going in and out of the whelping box and getting restless, not eating, then she will start delivering within a day.

If she acts fine I wouldn't worry about her. Some dogs run over and some will come early. Just keep an eye on her and when the time gets close she will not eat and start acting nervous.

I'd call the vet and talk it over. Just a couple cents from an old guy with the wrong breed. :D

I had a friend whose female went 70 days from the last day she was bred. He took her to the vet at about the 66th day and he said as long as she wasn't in labor there wasn't much they could due. She had the pups without any trouble. She has had pups since than and she had them before the 63rd day.

We had a female have them late and did some DNA testing and it wasn't the male we bred her to. She got bred through one of the pens and had the pups. Some females don't drop eggs til late in their heat cycle. She had to have been bred on the 13th or 15th day of her cycle. If she doesn't have them soon, you might want to look at other males.

The last four litter's I raised where all born on the 66th day.
* I enjoy meeting new Beaglers & Squirrel Dog Owners. It's a blessing to find other's with such unique interests.
* I also enjoy helping future hunters.
