dogs acting wierd,what is causing it??????

danny dont know if they let deer hunters in there or not but i have seen where dogs acted funny in areas where people had deer scents and things like that out for deer..maybe the deer hunters park at the gates and spray themselves down with some kind of spray and as soon as the dogs get out of the box they smell it .. Just a thought .. later

My guess is a Black Bear! I lived out west in Washington State, and believe me most beagles know instinctively what a bear is, and want no part of it.. Smart dog If you ever want to see a funny sight surprise your neighbors dog with a Bear skin rug with a mounted head, the only way to discribe their reaction is that they turn wrong side out! Its a sight to see

Coyotes.
My dogs have never been attacked.
There have been a couple times they they won't leave me to hunt out more than 50 yards, and keep coming back.
We found coyote sign and a deer carcass they had been eating on for a few days.

Danny i run this one state game lands and theres this one spot with pine trees and thick briars that my dogs wont go in for nothing the`ll work the out side edge but just wont go in. So one day i put on the chaps and went in there to see why my dogs didn`t want to go in there i found about three porky pine burrows and there was porky dropping every where even seen 2 setting on a rock buy the den. All my dogs had been queled at 1 time now they wont go around them. just a thought.

All you got to do is place a big ole pile of that special brand of beef jerky out there and leave it alone for several days. If you come back and see the bait pile of jerky eaten up you'll know for sure it is BIGFOOT as there's only two creatures that love that kind of beef jerky.

It's the Bellville Triangle... But really.....just don't go there. Hubby said one time a BIG coon was headed in the same path as our old beagle ....Hubby up on a hill could see everything, and had the coon in his site and ready.....dog and coon touched noses and went on by eachother . I sure wouldn't like the thought of my dog getting hurt.....I would be an IGA hunter instead

If your hunting the strip mines in Ky. give me a holler. I know a couple of very good coyote hunters that hunt the mines somewhat on a regular basis. Between them they usually get 50-60 coyotes a year. That's a conservative guess.

ACCTUALLY I FIGURED IT OUT,WELL,TO BE HONEST,TWO SETS OF AKC JUDGES FIGURED IT OUT FOR ME........

THE DOG IN QUESTION RUNS FINE AT BELLEVILLE ALL THE TIME NOW AND EVERYWHERE ELSE,AS LONG AAS I STAY AWAY FROM ONE GUY AND HIS DOG

THIS GUY HAS A FEMALE THAT WAS PICKED UP AT WURTLAND AND JACKSON,WE STARTED PUTTING IT TOGETHER WHEN OTHER GUYS DOGS WOULD REFUSE TO RUN THERE WHILE SHE WAS IN THE PACK,SO,FOREST KERNS WENT IN AND RAN WITH THE DOGS TO SEE WHAT SHE WAS DOIN..........

WHEN THE PACK WOULD BREAK DOWN IN THE CHECK OR EVEN WHILE THEY WHERE HUNTING,THIS GYP WOULD DOG TRACK EVERYTHING AND THEN JUMP ON OTHER DOGS,WE HAVE TOLD THE GUY AND TOLD THE GUY TO EITHER GET RID OF THE DOG OR USE THE SHOCKER FOR WHAT IT WAS MADE FOR,FINALLY,AFTE REVERYONE REFUSED TO RUN WITH HIM,HE STARTED SHOCKIN HER WHEN SHE DID IT AND SHE QUIT,FOR NOW,IF IT WAS ME,I WOULD GET RID OF HER CAUSE I HAVE HEARD HER DO IT FROM TIME TO TIME STILL,JUST NOT AS BAD,SO,IT TURNED OUT TO BE A MOUTHY DOG,NOT YOTES,BEARS,NESSY OR UFO'S.......
