For one time I'd like to see her pause and think, before she answers a question. I think she's a fine lady and has to look sharp but wonder how her reasoning can work so quickly and be accurate a high percentage of the time. It's not a matter if she is qualified or not. She was chosen to be a VP running mate by one person. That person's judgement is the only point that can be argued. The queston should be: is this a good way to select a VP.

I didn't know the financial institutions made bets(contracts CDS) on eachother's ability to float their mortgage risk. Apparently this is where the great losses are stemming from. A lost bet hurls you down the drain. I think we need to send off the whole financial institution to gamblers anonymous. What I'd like to know is, who collects on these bets, somebody needs to throw the Country a party as a sign of gratitude. Who's face is on a trillion dollar bill...

I read this article last night, but what i found interesting was all the comments posted after the article, this is where all those involved, who know where the cancer is centered start to expose it to the readers. I was shocked at the lawless crookery that was going on and allowed. These people are really sick and they are in charge of the Country's financial state... I can only imagine the riches and inflated egos that have driven these institutions to gamble a whole Country's wealth and Global stability into near ruin. To bail them out is no more than giving a drunk a six pack and taking away his car keys for the night. These people can gamble away their wealth but have no right to be in position to gamble away the hard work saving of America!!!
ps...you have to keep reading the comments till you get to the CDS contracts involved. I'd like to know who they write the check to, I've never heard or see anything like this. We truly are no more than the oxen that pulls the cart...

I am tired of elections, politics, double talk and all. The UMW (united mine workers) have paid Obama twice and Biden once to come into this area. They clearly support that ticket. Nothing wrong with it. But then Biden said in an interview to let China build coal powered power plants and kill there people, there would be none built here. Her is what he said:

Some great rope line video from Joe Biden's recent Ohio swing, where he was asked by an anti-pollution campaigner about clean coal -- a controversial approach in Democratic circles for which Obama has voiced support, particularly during the Kentucky primary.

Biden's apparent answer: He supports clean coal for China, but not for the United States.

"No coal plants here in America," he said. "Build them, if they're going to build them, over there. Make them clean."

"We’re not supporting clean coal," he said of himself and Obama. They do, on paper, support clean coal.

The answer seems to play into John McCain's case that Obama has been saying "no" to new sources of energy.

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama launched a new TV ad this weekend featuring an Illinois miner praising the the him for work on coal issues.

"Washington, D.C., is not listening to us," said Randy Henry, who is identified as a miner for 31 years. "Barack understands it."

The ad is running in the Lexington and Bowling Green television markets, Obama's campaign confirmed.


The commercial lists Obama's key accomplishment as supporting $200 million for clean coal technology. An announcer says Obama "helped lead the fight for clean coal to protect our environment and save good-paying American jobs."

"Back in the Great Depression, Roosevelt got on TV and told the people, this is what we are gonna do...blah blah blah.."

The only problem is that Roosevelt WAS NOT the President during the Great Depression, Herbert Hoover was and NO ONE HAD TV'S THEN!!!!!!! You have always been in the tank for Obama anyway, judging from your apparent ease of attacking conservatives on previous posts.

Wall Street is a bunch of drunken sailors! They need a lesson! Let their rich buddies bail them out, they raped enough people. The market can correct itself, they bid up the bubble, let them deflate it, it's the only way to bring things down to real value. Their all anxious to get this bailout and start the run again, it's like a druggie on coke, they need it, they want it...
I think real conservatives want things to come back down to earth again. The disease is not on one party or the other, the change will occur now, the free ride is over, I just hope things don't backlash to far the other way as most often times happens.
You can tell Congress is loving this, I love to hear them say, "their phone are ringing off the hook". What a great day, they hearing the voice of America!

Come on, did you see how bad she was? No wonder she has been dodging the media! She is HORRIBLE! My mind is pretty much made up now! Palin was McCain’s only hope to get my vote, and now after seeing just how clueless the woman is there is no way in hell they will get my vote!
