A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
What is the beagle world coming to? I have my opinion on what people want to pay for dogs, and then they think they can dictate the quality verses the price of a dog.
For example: I’m looking for a IFC male, 2 years old, prime condition, tough as nails, but i only want to spend $100. Is there any out there?
Come on People!
Check this out and you'll see what i'm talking about.

That's nothing... there's a hare hunting guide that wants people to ship dogs to him at their expense so he can try them out. And he wants a perfect dog, too. I guess he might pay up to $50 for a good un.
Folks,
Maybe that ad was from a youngen who doesn't know any different. All they know is they have want in their eyes but have a champaign taste with a beer pocketbook. That philosophy doesn't really vary among most of us as we want the best we can get for the lowest possible price. I remember when I was a young teenager I spent countless hours looking through hound magazine and newspaper adds with want in my eyes and had saved up the exact same $75.00 dollars from my lunch money as this person. Thing is I found a UKC Registered coon hound in a local paper ad and bought that dog for that $75.00 from the gentleman. I'll also say she was young and just started but she turned out to be a really nice coon hound. She was my first and only dog at that time so she got all the time and attention.
you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a great hound i once bought a three year old for $54 after watching him run for about three hours got him on a sunday the next weekend won two field trials made grand champ placed at the world three times, third place hound of year two times and put many rabbits in my freezer what the fun did i have for $54
