whats the fastest hound you have owned personally

I used to own Schag's Linebacker Blitz that could stretch out when conditions were right. I have seen him leave a few packs wondering where he went, but he did it the right way. He would snap back when going over and pick-up quick and head out. He is not the fastest I have seen (most of those were too rough for me), but clean with really good foot.

THE FASTEST DOG THAT I HAVE EVERY OWNED (STILL OWN) IS PENNINGTON'S WHISTLER. HE CHEATS, HE'S NOT REAL LOUD, AND HE'S OVER 15IN. YOU CAN'T HAVE A GOOD RACE WITH A PACK WITH HIM.

the fastest dog ive personally ever owned was an old dog named buddy he was half patch and some grade stuff the weve had around here for awhile. the best season i ever had with him he chased down and caught about 25 rabbits now his father was a way faster dog one season huntting him with his father we killed 165 rabbits and the dogs caught about 70 that year. thats the first time ive ever been offered more than a thousand dollars for a grade dog. still have some of that blood in my kennel now but i finally got some nkc papers on the so i could keep up with things a little better.

Yeah and the fastest dog I ever had, I didn't even nead a gun. That dog caught every rabbit it ever ran. Yup, put lots of stew on the table when times were rough back in the depression days. Must've been a few hundred that year.

Fastest dog I've owned was a 13in bitch that had no faults. Her sire was a double grandson to Heli Prop and dam was out of Hard Rock. She had 2 wins and 2 3rds in AKC Midwest before someone stole her out of my kennel while I was out of town. She had the most desire and grit in any dog I have seen run in a long time. Wish she was still in my kennel today cause she was a dog anyone would want to build a name around.

ONE OF THE HARDEST HITTING DOGS THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN IS GMC'S SHINING TIME SPOT HE IS OWNED BY A BUDDY OF MINE (ROCKY TOP) HE IS A FREAK WHEN HE WANTS TO BLOW OUT OF A CHECK, I RAN AGAINST HIM ONCE IN A CAST AND THERE WHERE 8 MINUTES LEFT IN THE HUNT, HE HAD NO POINTS AND THE LEASDER HAD 90 POINTS.......WE SEEN A RABBIT AND TURNED LOOSE ON IT, WE DID AND I HAD A DOG THAT IS NOT THE FASTEST BUT THERE IS NOT ALOT OF DOGS THAT CAN LITERALLY LEAVE HIM......WELL LET ME TELL YA SPOT LEFT HIM AND ALL THE OTHER DOGS IN THE CAST HE SCORED 125 POINTS IN 8 MINUTES......AND WON THE CAST.....HE WOULD BLOW OUT WITH THE CHECK AND BYT THE TIME THE OTHER DOGS CAUGHT BACK UP AND FOUND THE LINE HE WOULD BLOW OUT AGAIN, HE IS THE HARDEST HITTING SOB OUT OF THE CHECK THAT I HAVE SEEN, HE IS A FREAK OF NATURE ON A GOOD RUNNING RABBIT, BECAUSE IF YOU GET A GOOD RUNNING RABBIT AND SPOT IS OUT THEN ITS HIS RABBIT AND NO ONE ELSE, HE CAN HANDLE THE SPEED TO, HE HAS UNREAL DRIVE AND ACCERLERATION, JUST MY 2 CENTS WORTH, BUT HE CAN GET OUT AND MOVE........

Fastest I have seen is Osborne's Spade....hands down...I've seen him run many a cast in Indiana where is was 50 yards or more ahead of the pack for most of the hour.

I know you may not beleave my post but theres alot of guys around here that remeber that line of dogs. the the male i owned and his father where the fastest id ever seen. my male was stollen at 13yrs of age out of his kennel. i still have decendents from that line but there not that fast but most of the older line measured over. i ran buddy with some arha guys back in the 90"s that brought over there big champion dog and they tried every way in the world to buy him. It's not that I don't believe you had an extra fast dog splittin' the wind, but gunning down 165 rabbits in 1 season? What'd ya do, hunt 24/7, 365? They say it's OK to exagerate on here, I guess.

he has about a week of recovery left then its back to the beanfields for him...i hate runnin and leavin him home...but he has to heal..hopefully i can get him tuned up for the akc trial in indiana in oct...i plan on taking him there...then its time to gun him and my youngens hard..then a hopefull rematch at the world hunt this year..i knocked on the door last year matbe i can get a lil closer this year...hope to see ya at some trials denver..hows that preacher male comin along?

Well if you get closer than you did last year you have to win! I thought he was gonna run away with it the way he started out, 4 checks to 0 I think, but he still ran awesome. Preacher's coming along just fine
