Thanks for the comment Pike Ridge . I'm leaning toward keeping the Code Blue male , to be honest I "slept on it last night" as they say and at this point I plan to let a Patch male or possibly two go . This is a really hard thing to do but with my limited ammount of running time I just can't be fair to all my dogs .

Blackwoods kennel , it would be nice to make an IFC but I really doubt I would ever have the type of money needed to make it to the "close to home" AKC field trials let alone send a dog to Canada to be ran . Most people who make thier dog a IFC have lotttts of funds ( I'm not knocking ANYONE for doing that or having the money too . I'm happy for you and your dog but that's just not something I myself could do ) . I can't keep and put enough RUN TIME into them all to do them justice .

I want to thank everyone for the PM's , emails & calls but at this time none of my females are for sale . I do plan to make a very tight evaluation of my 3 Patch males and plan on selling 2 of them .

I just went through the same delima , I had 12 run'n hounds here.With loss of hunting land ,time & family oblagations I wasn't doing them justice , I'd put it off for over a year as deciding on letting some go really troubled me. As none were culls by no means , I started evaluating each 1's abilities which were all very simular & decided which to let go , I hated to but I've let 4 go & 1 more is set to go to NJ. in 2 weeks. I've got 3 puppies on top of the 1's I kept + part of those I kept are what I consider my foundation stock , so I can reproduce what I've worked hard for years to get. I figure I'm set for several years and feel I have the blood to continue for a long time by picking some offspring from what I have to carry on when the foundation stock pass's on.

Thank you sooooo much for the support . We have to keep the future in mind and do
whats best for our kennel 1st as far as our dogs go . I ran 4 hounds last night and two
of them were the Turbo Blue male (which I had posted for sale with a heavey heart),
and one of the two Patch males that I have decided to sell . After last night I really
didn't want to let even him go but I plan to do what's best for my dogs . I have had
some great reports on the pups and dogs that I've let go . I think I've been very
fortunate to aquire through family and friends some fairly nice hounds and hope by
unselfishness to continue keeping my kennel going forward .

Good looking dogs - and I understand that it can be hard to make decisions regarding which dogs to keep and sell. That being said - I don't understand how you expect us to help you any.....even w/ pics of the dogs and a listing of sire and dam. Only you can make the decision on what to sell. I'd recommend you not put much stock in the "internet communities" input based simply on bloodlines and make your decision on which dogs you feel fit what you need and like in a hound.

I think you should let them patch go. If you want, you can just send them up here to Pennsylvania to keep my patch company. Especially that lesage bill patch dog.
Honestly now, your dogs are some of the best looking on the web, expecially those patches. Its a shame you have to get rid of some, and I wouldn't want to have that kind of decision.

Buddy.I wouldn't even look at the pedigrees. I go by the one that runs the cleanest, hunts hard and gets the checks to keep the the race going.It's hard to make that kind of call but keep the one with the brains.Good luck to you Ken

I think you should let give all your buddies one each,that way nobody gets mad at you and talks about you for selling one to somebody they didn't know ,I'll pick the northway female or that good lookin pup out of her if yo have already given her away,Yep, I think that's what I'd do ,Denny

Hey Buddy, going by the looks and pictures those Patch dogs are alot easier on the eyes to look
at than those tri's and ticked up hounds. LOL
The others aren't that bad I just prefer the Lemon and White Patch Power

Yea I got us a rabbit ride,for the gun season,I might even take you up the creek where no one else rabbit hunts,they don't want to skin up their ride,I bought mine pre -scuffed so we don't have to worry about it
