I have the Classic 70 G2. I don't know what the G2S unit is. I haven't had any trouble with my classic 70 G2. The charge on mine last for a very good while.

How are you guys checking the range. I guess you could have someone walk a good distance and then have the other person hit the tone feature. Is that how you're checking it. I'll have to try that and see how mine are working.

Like JC I bought one of the first g2 exp units that came out. I leave the collars in the garage for weeks at a time and have never run down enough for it to tell me to recharge. Joey, We have range tested using two way radios and a truck. My buddy had a bad transmitter that would not work at 100 yards. I programmed his receivers onto my transmitter and they were still working at close to 1.5 miles, so we knew his transmitter was bad. He told TT what we had done and they sent him a new tx unit and a box with a sticker to send back the bad one. Maybe I have been lucky, but when I store them on the chargers it seldom takes more than 10 minutes for the full charge lights to turn green.
Where's the earth shattering kaboom ?

I bought the G2 system when it first came out also and like J C, I have never had any problems with mine and they seem to hold the charge forever. I have one dog that can take more charge than the others and at first I thought one of mine was not working until I switched them around on the dogs and found out that the dog was just tough and the collars were working fine. Most of the time I don't have to go above #2 unless I have to hit my little bitch with the tough neck.

I have to hit my big male on #2 for him to come in sometimes. I try really hard with the tone first. Then I result to shocking.

The females it's #1 and they yep as if someone shot them. But I always tone first the last thing is shock.

The 2 mile range advertised is 2 miles..... LINE OF SIGHT. Your range gets considerably less as the terrain becomes more diverse, (hills, rocks, thick cover, etc, etc).
It's not that life is short......it's just that we're dead for such a long, long time...

hmmmm you guys got me thinking. I just might walk down the street One full neighborhood block and have someone hit the tone button and see if I can hear it.

If I do that later today. I'll let you guys know if it worked.
