I don't know what the politically correct agreed upon label would be, but I sure like my patch wannabee's

Not trying to cause waves or nothing, but I find it useful to have the original kennel name in the dogs pedigree in order to have an idea of what to expect. By that I mean you can kind of expect how the dog is going to match up with your pack or your buddies pack especially if the hound has been line bred. Not all the time but most of the time there SHOULD be some similiar characteristics displayed (ie) running style, confirmation, and determination.

I think it would be a safe bet that the folks on here that favor a slower running hound would not think of buying or breeding to a hound that the word Patch appeared anywhere on the dogs pedigree. Due to knowing by seeing the name Patch that the dog is most likely not going to fit in with their chosen running style.

I own Garr Hibb Kristy, spelled with a "K", if that is the female you are asking about. She has no Patch blood at all. She is sired by FC Branko's Hard Rock and out of River Valley Fannie that was all Canadian bloodlines.
