I don't know earl, I saw those dogs pick their heads up in the good spots ;) Just kidding you earl.

I wish more would post videos of these dogs we read all the hype on here about. It's hard to describe how a dog runs in words and make people understand it. When someone writes that a dog is medium speed or has good line control it means different things to everyone that reads it. I can't even imagine what that "controlled rage" is supposed to mean :???: When you see it with your own eyes there is no question.

Mark don't have to brag on his dogs, he just showed us what he's got.

On the other hand, it isn't as easy to video beagles running as Mark makes it look. I have lots of video, most of it is just scenery with dogs barking off in the background :)
42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

Riverbottom your video sounds like mine, tons of scenery, lots of barking with an occasional hare crossing but not even close to the quality of his videos. I've been trying the last year but just can't seem to get any good video, the hare are just running too big of circles and the cover I'm in is way too thick.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jen & Nitti had a great race. I culled all my dogs today. Dog Pond full of them and am waiting for Jen & Nitti to arrive. I won't cry if only one arrives. I know I can't talk you out of Jen but keep plugging dog with Nitti isn't worth feeding so your sending her off. I'm sitting at the airport now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think the young hounds did a whale of a job, from what i seen thier speed would be about a 6 and that would put bunnies in your jacket all day long,,,,,,keep them interested and keep feeding them tracks,,,,,,

That is what we always have thought and we take a lot of pride in not losing rabbits. We used to run much harder dogs and realized that we could circle a rabbit faster most of the time and did not lose rabbits with this style of dog. The down side on a good scent day the fast dogs will run out from under us but that is just part of the give and take. The big nose is what we love although you do get some extra mouth with it but it sure is nice to be out on those rain frozen days and days in Aug. when it has not rained for weeks and they still can run. It is all in just what you like.
Mark~

This is when it had rained all day the day before and everything turned to ice. I love when they can run on these days. They just have to slow it down to a walk.
