Pup Pooping in Dog House

I have an almost 4 month old pup that keeps crapping in the dog house. I kennel him with 2 other older dogs and he craps in the house everyday so none of the other dogs want to sleep in there. Has anyone found any solutions to cure this or might he just grow out of it?

kennel him by himself and fill his box untill he just has enough room to lie down I use a big chunk of firewood but what ever you have available, cement block

I agree. Most dogs won't s##t where they sleep. But I've heard of some that do.

i have seen some that will not only shiptz where they sleep but will do the same where they eat right in their bowl or in theit water i hate it when they do that jb

Normaly they dont do that, But when they start its sometimes hard to stop.
My suggestion is if you can remove the dog house from the pen, all the way out.
Give it a " REAL GOOD hoseing down " inside and outside where he or she's been pooping. Let dry and then Spray the inside down with a pump up sparyer with
Pure Bleach ( CLOROX ) let it set aprox 20 minutes then hose off with fresh clean water.
Let dry again and replace in the pen.

He or she has left her mark ( POOP SCENT ) in there and as long as they can smell it
it will go back to the same spot. My dogs any way , always had a spot in the pen they
prefered to squat and poop. I have had this same problem with pups as you
and this worked for me.
If it dont work for you, chunk the box and build a new one .

I had a bitch that was doing that and I removed all the bedding from her house and made her sleep on the wooden floor and she stopped doing it. When the weather got cold and I put bedding back in her house I didn't have any more problems with her doing it.

Are they in an off-ground pen? If so, put the crap on a small piece of plywood outside in the pen. Some pups want a solid footing to do their business.
