Traing with E collar

I have been trying to train my 2yr old beagle to come back to me using a Tri Tronics #70 collar and a check cord I gave her a shock on level #1 and she came back but now as soon as I put the collar on she seems scared and will not leave my side what should I do

did you try tone her first

Try putting the e-collar on her every time you take her from her kennel. She should start to act normal if she has it on all the time she is out. Check out my site for more about how I use these great tools to train my hounds and to keep a handle on them.

I know this is an older hound but she may need some more obediance/yard training before moving on to the e-collar training. Check out the basic comands that I try to teach my pups when they are very young. Some things are best taught at an early age but can be learned by an older hound if you put in the time. Good Luck:

I had her coming to me good until about a month ago now she has started to get independent so I thought I would try the collar what else should I do Thanks
