Branko's Hard Rock
Seen him run when he was way over 10 years old and could still stroke a rabbit
Ross's Rockzie Girl finished even with a mechanical hip. She had grit and speed.

My brother owned Branko's Bell Spec's, Mystery girls littermate sister. I hunted her every other day when she was 1-2 years old. She was super fast with control, chop mouth and ran at the coldest temp.'s we would go out in.She needed 2 points to finish as FTCH. Got exellent pups out of her FTCH Northern Sly and the littermates were awesome too but never trialed, sold to hunters. Sly produced a super fast female FTCH Fillmore's Pepper Sly Hunter, when bred to an old Branko female (can't recall the name right now) Pepper was awesome at 4 months old you knew you had something special and got 1st place in her first trial before 2 years old. You could only hunt her by herself as she would leave any other hound way behind and either cutting in to get to her or have to chase their own hare.

Looks like a lot of people favor Heli Prop and Jack of all trades  . Digger is actually the grandson of Heli Prop and Jack of All Trades and has Jack 3 times in a 3 generation pedigree . I hope to venture more into the Branko line and see what it holds as time goes on :eyes:

Is that the dog Seneca owned? I think I've run against him

I would say Jack of All Trades, would be most influential in most the top Branko dogs.Personally ,I like the qualities I've seen in dogs out of or with Heli Prop, Lumberjack, and Blue Ninja bred close. I have also seen some nice dogs out of Ali Baba, or close in their pedigree.

I like to use this site, and see how these dogs did in Canada. When this site come's up, you will see trials, click and a list comes up with Individual Hound Standings, Sire Placing Pups, Dams Placing Pups and Top Producing Sire & Dams. It's a really good site to do reserch on dogs in Canada.

My personal favorite is Lumberjack. I really like the nose, brains, and SPEED that he put in his offspring. And if you look on Branko's site look at what most of there brood bitches are out of. This Lumberjack really produced the type of dog that I like. But I may be a little parcial because I have 2 males that I am very fond of. BRANKO'S THUNDERING TOMAHAWK by (IFC BRANKO'S LUMBERJACK & IFC BRANKO'S SASSY SALLY) and BRANKO'S MANITOBA ICEMAN by (IFC BRANKO'S LUMBERJACK & BRANKO'S CRYSTAL CLEAR) most of the Lumberjack stuff can really HAMMER :hammer: :hammer: :hammer: a rabbit.

I know that Tomahawk is getting up there in age. Are you still breeding him? How old is the Iceman dog and have you used him as a stud? If so, how has he reproduced? And who is Crystal Clear out of ? Got any young males out of Tomahawk that are really impressing you ?
Thanks
