Packing together

I have 2 female Beagles one is 4 yrs old the other is 2 yrs old they have worled well together until yesterday both were running a rabbit it must have holed up at that time the 2 dogs split up the older one started to run another rabbit but the younger one never came in she went off on her own is this somthing that happens evey so often or what. I also had a heck of a time gettig the younger one to come back what advice do you give if this happens.

Any thing is possible at any time with beagles ,If the younger dog was tracking hard on another rabbit and jumped it pretty quick and didn't quit it to go and say "me too" with the older hound,be thankful that she is independent enough to have confidence ,but if she was just messing around ,doing nothing, I would correct her.Ultimately, you have to decide whether you like what she did or not and whether you can live with it,I'm no professional trainer or nothing like that,but I decide who lives here and who don't based on a variety of reasons,Denny
