Good MPG hunting vehicles

I have a 2007 Tundra double cab good truck and I really love it but it only gets about 15 miles per gallon. It has the 4.7 engine. I had a 2001 Tundra access cab with thew same size engine that got 21 miles per gallon on the highway so I can't figure out the difference in gas milage. I have had the 2007 for 15 months and only have 8,400 miles on it so maybe it will get better if I ever decide to drive it more and put more miles on it but with the price of gas I leave it in the yard most of the time.

Gear system!!! Check out the gear ratio (trying to get that pulling ability) We traded for one that was set up for pulling and when you let off the gas at 70 MPH it felt like you have pulled the E brake. 4.30 gears in tow package

and 813,000 trucks on recall for frame rust ....

Crabby, I saw 4 or 5 of those mini trucks in Richlands at Rameys. One had a dump bed and at least one was 4wd. They didn't have tires like the one in the pic and all of these were white. One had a bigger cab than the others too. I didn't get out to look at prices or anything but those appeared to be street legal. All of the ones I saw were Suzukis and appeared to be in decent shape.

check out the mahindra appalachian. from what i get its being released in 2009. 20 to 30 thousand dollers new. about the size of a tacoma . 4 cylinder diesel 145-150 hp 300ftlbs tq and 40+ mpg.. sounds good to me.

those you described is how mine looked..just camoed it and added tires..None of them can be tagged..however it is like a farm tractor..put a slow moving vehicle sign on the back and roll on brother

no I haven't talked to him..just a local link I found for the trucks..my advice would be check Ebay and search for your model in parts...they usually have several parts on there..

It's funny you mention this I had a 2007 4 door Tundra with the 5.7 in it only got about 12-13 around town...Just sold it and went back a few years and bought a 2001 Tundra access cab...You are right, 18-19 around town 20-21 Interstate, granted it has the 4.7 and geared completly different but you would not think there would be that much of a difference...

I bet the Full Size Truck market will soon decline if it hasn't already....Gas is 4.10 a gallon here today in SE Indiana!

I see more and more full size trucks setting on the lots here in Richmond, Ky in the last month or so than I used to so it looks like they are already declining in sales here.
