Hey Larry,

in your post to Zuk you said, "This gent runs a lot, but he runs Bramlett. ..." Whats wrong with Bramlett?

By the way, the pup I got from you is turning out just find. What did you do with his sisters?

BR nothing wrong with Bramlett. He owns a lot of fliers that never get run because they can't keep a rabbit going I guess, don't really know because he won't run em. The Bramlett dogs are pretty good.

I still have not started my pups that are sisters to your male. If you want one hell of a rabbit dog at a good price I will sell you one, and like all I sell, guaranteed to please. If not just come back for your money no questions asked. That is how I have always done it and never had one come back yet. Or you can listen to the horse $hit on this board, run the wheels off your truck, and come home with another cull. Up to you.

Larry,

I'm not in the market for another dog right now. My neighbors have never complained about the 4 I have, and I don't want to push it. In June, I'll be moving them to another property; at least I hope to be able to move them. Perhaps then, I will be in a position to get another. I'll keep you posted,

Here are some hounds that have watched run several times that I consider fast with excellent line control. These hounds also make up the first three generations of pedigrees of my hounds to some extent.

McCleese's Duck -- actually never got to see him but have heard tons about him
Logan Elm Blue Skim
Surber's Sugar Creek Driver
Pound the Ground Blue Levi--Levi is not in any pedigrees yet of my hounds. He will be bred to a female I own. Levi has McClees's Duck in his pedigree.

If this dog ever barks in the pen, bring him back and I will not only give your money back, I will put some salt and pepper on him and eat him. He is just too fast for my dogs. I ran him with them this morning and every time they came by he was 30 yards in front. He is about like those fast gyps of yours, maybe not quite that rough.

I am a Michigander and there has been a fair amount of discussion within this post regarding Michigan hare hound lines producing good foot speed and I can attest to this- lots of foot- I wouldnt expect much else out of the large pack circiut though. Kurt Robinson

I have judged this hound and ran against him he was the real deal. Man he could run a rabbit. Head down and drive... He wasn't a 10 in speed to me but he was a 7.5 and didn't mind running 2cd or third in the pack as the break down came he would either drive right through it or knuckle down and figure it out and then drive. Ran against him in the semi finals the year he won the world and him and Damrons Halftrack was running in about thirty mile per hour wind and they and the other two put on a show. It was kinda of funny the owner wasn't out there. It was someone else handling him and I was saying that Duck dog is really putting on a show but thought Halftrack was close to second. The guy handling Duck was saying Halftrack is putting on a show. So needless to say there were two red dogs out in 30mph wind putting on a show. The cast ended and Duck won with Halftrack close behind. Duck was as a nice a dog as I had seen at the time so our kennel ended with a pup out of him. The dog didn't work out but was a nice gun dog. Needless to say if they go back to Duck then they have some power behind them.

Semi Finals of the Gr.'s the year Duck won the World.

Yea seen him run a few times. One time he was in the finals at the world I believe. He was in there with a big bitch named Penny and another dog I don't remember it been a few years but I am pretty sure Skim won. I think Penny had a couple minuses but it's been so long might be wrong. But what I do remember is Oh Skim could scoot. If I remember right Skim was a little bit faster than Duck and I think was out of Duck. If I remember right he was a big Bluetick looking Male. Been In Little Pack since 1993 and seen some of the best of them run. Been to alot of hunts and all over but the day that I remember Skim the best was when him and Penny were in that cast and they were driving an IN rabbit hard. Pretty sure oh skim won but penny and the other dog showed what being a Little Pack Gr.ch. was all about. :D

I have Duck in the 5th. gen. of my 18 month olds ped. along with Superdog/Mikerma's Undertaker, Crees' Comanche Tracker. He's got very decent speed and runs that way al the time. Hey Bev, Mikerma's Farmer Clem got a 4th. place last weekend at Fundy in Canada. Have to see what he got in him for this weekend, he sure is a nice looking hound 14-1/2". My 2 cents, Lumberjack threw speed. There are so many Turbo bred dogs out there to be, or not to be seen, it's hard to know the actual % of pups that are fast etc. Only the fast/best ones get noticed anyway.

Watched ol Duck last round of the world. Skim-Bruners big ben and bigtime-dont recall. Judged by Mike Klabier. Duck won but ben was coming back bigtime was owned by Mark Stump aka holy on sunday man screw ya on saturday man :moon: .....Bigtime was out of shape been getting bred constanly, he got waxed.Anyway the thing i remember most was muggs a smoking the corn cob pipe and buying Cody Sharps sparky while walter sharp and I, watched ol duck take them dogs straight up the middle , he showed 0 emotion at the cast post as if he was bored with all the papparazi......Owner left him with someone else to handle , never even seen the whole gala event probaly 50 people went and watched it .....Nice cast
