I have and am selling the Y-Tex Python Insectide Ear Tag, it says it controls Gulf Coast Ticks and also Spinose Ear Ticks and also Lice and several different kinds of Flies as well. Like I said the price is $3.00 each and I have them looped together so you can slide the Dog Collar though the loop. Does not hang down from the Dog Collar.

Thanks Chip

Again, do ya'll use a whole tag for one dog or do you cut it in half. I'm sort of scared of a tag on a 15 pound dog that is for a 2000 pound cow.

They make several different kinds of Tags the Y-tex Python Tag that is Purple is the one that I have used and are still useing they are $32.00 for 20 at the Feed Store here or you can buy them at the same store for $3.00 each. The Orange Tag only has 21.4% Diazinon in them if they are made by Y-Tex plus they are a bigger Tag also the weight is 15 grams, the Purple Tag or the Python Tag has 20% Piperonyl Butoxide and also has 10% Zetacypermethrin in the Tag and that tag weighs 9.5 grams each.
Some one ask how long they were suppose to last, it says they last about 5 to 6 months.

Thanks Chip Eisenhut

I use a whole one (purple), I wouldn't use it on a pregnant female or a young pup. I have been warned off using any other kind, they are said to be too strong. I run with guys that have used them for a couple of years with no problem. I suppose for a beagle you could cut it in half or something.

The orange collars I sell are are Permethrin and Piperonyl Butoxide. I would love to have some of the Diazanon tags. Diazanon was banned in 2005 and was made illegal for me to sell as of the first of 2007. Sorry but I only sell at the farm store I manage. If you have some of the diazanon collars please let me know, I would love to have some. I sell the 25 packs of orange colllars for around $15.00. Never thought about using them on dogs, but ticks are already bad.

IF you go to the spread sheet on the Tags the Orange Tags made by Y-Tex called Optimizer says it has 21.4% Diazinon as Ingredients in them, they come 20 to a package. I do not know the price as I was always told to use the purple tag made by Y-Tex so that is what I used last year and also this year as well, just on older running dogs.

I have been using them on all of my running Dogs and I am using one on a 10 month old young dog and no problems and I am not finding any Ticks on the dogs.
