I use this for flea preventive and it works. Also mix in garden sprayer and spray ground around premises. I put 1cc on the top of shoulders and have no fleas.

Have not seen it work on ticks. I use the Preventic Collar it last for 3 mo. if a tick is on your dog when you put it on the tick will be dead the next day.
And untill the collar looses it's strength there will be no Ticks. You will see when the strength runs out instantly.

what kind of collar? I am desperate for something that will keep them off. Also, how is that dog I sent your way? Is he still doing good?

Might help a little w/ ticks but not much. Works for fleas w/o a doubt though. It's a cheap alternative to Frontline Plus which is the best I've ever used, but unfortunately not cheap. Like the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Ticks are BAD here again this spring also.

Thanks Steve for the info. Ticks are really bad here as well already. 6 or 8 a day off me and as many off the dogs. OFF seems to help keep them off me, but the poor dogs get covered. If you get down down this way come and run with us, I'd like to see Bo run again.

I have not used the Bayer but I use the purple ear tags for cattle on my dogs and the ticks were getting bad on my dogs here in Kentucky until I started using the ear tags and now I haven't been bothered with ticks or fleas. I put tags on two of my buddies dogs that run loose in the country and he said he hasn't seen any ticks on his dogs either. I bought 20 tags for $30 and everyone tells me that one tag will last all summer unless they get torn off the collar ( a tag is good for 6 months ). You can just cut two slits in the tag but I used the tag gun and made mine so they would just slid over the collar. Hope this helps.
