Online Field Trial 2

Post by KanesIrish »

Well ladies and gentlemen, here it is. The 2nd installment of the "Online Field Trial". The last took about 3 weeks to finish and in the end we saw some of the best hounds that have effected our sport over the last five years or so. Some will go on to be known for years.

These are the rules for the 2nd "Online Trial". Instead of last times 5 hounds, you will be first allowed to nominate or "enter" up to 10 hounds. It doesn't have to be 10, but only up to 10. Last time a lot of people said that they could think of way more than 5 hounds that they liked so much. Any hound nominated twice will be brought back into either the "second series" or the "winners pack" depending on how many get two nominations from two different people.

The catch...dogs like Syris and Calie will have to go "head to head" with dogs that last ran in 1993. These dogs don't have to be field champions, heck they didn't even have to run in a trial, but they have to have two nominations to go on to the next level. So think way back before you make your nominations. Like last time I'll try to keep up each day adding up the scores.

The "First Series" will be called on New Years Eve at 4 PM. That way everybody will have enough time to look at the site and do some thinking. This is going to be the last online trial, because like those reality tv shows, I don't want anything to be too overdone. By the time this trial is done, we up here should be starting our winter trials anyway, and not have to worry about email and phone calls to socialize about the sport we love. Any hound that is able to place in both this trial and the last trial will get the unofficial title of OLFC(online field champion)...that way Rick Giermata can put more stuff in his stud ad(just kidding Rick). So everybody have fun. Any questions or anything drop me an email and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

And thanks Bev, for letting us do this on your site.

But I can go through one by one and tell you why I admire every single one of them, whether it was out in the woods, in the pen at a trial or just at the club running. I have 4 of my own up there...but they are 4 very special hounds, especially the big male.
