Thanks Paul. U guys really put together a awsome hunt this year. I really enjoyed it. We both came home with new dogs to play with. I judged my butt off and got to see some really nice dogs. I put that pup on the ground yesterday just to see what she would do and to my suprise she jumped in with the other dog and started pushing the rabbit. She did good for her first time on the ground. Hope to see ya at the PA state hunt.

Re: Did you see any outstanding judging at the world
I want to also give props to the Mike & Mike show from Pa. Great job in the cast you judged me.. I also thought Dannell Mckinney and Jason Blevins done a great job in the Runoff. Overall I thought this was the best judged World hunt in a few yrs. I really didnt hear near as many complaints.. I also want to give props to Shawn Boyd for carrying me through a couple casts. The last cast we judged together I was close to being just a scorecard reader...
I also enjoyed judging with Adam Spencer.. We had never judged together and it didn't take me long to see that I was paired with a good judge who was also the primary runner of the cast..

Great thread! It is good to see the judges get credit for what they do. Without them there would be no trials. I heard that there was trouble getting people to judge or should I say lack of judges. It sounds like it worked out good in the end. Quality over quantity any day!

Ryan Brewer's "girl" is Amy Brewer and I bet she would have been right out there with em if she wasn't fixing to produce the next outstanding judge in the family.

I judged several rounds with Danell and he basically carried me..I have watched alot of judges out there and in my opinion he tries the hardest. Eddie smith did a great job also in judging Fred's cast in the grands..they ran basically the whole hour.
All in all great judging. Good job guys

I was in the cast that the young boy from michigan judged and i thought he did a superb job. He was never more than ten feet from the dogs the entire hour even though he was wearing huge rubber boots. I am not sure of the boys name but he did an excellent job and I dont think he missed anything. This was probably the best cast that I saw run during the entire week.J.C. Blair wrote:There was a young kid from Michigan I cant remember his name, but he could run like a deer. He judged Bogeys first round and the dogs pounded the whole hour and he didnt miss a single thing. Good to see the younger guys step up. Rooster also gets the iron-man award, he made around 450 bucks judging, he'd be so tired of the evenings, he'd fall asleep eating. Hes a tough little feller. Hats off to all the judges, couldnt have a hunt without yall.
I also judged a few casts myself and I got to judge with Judge of The Year Matt Elliott. I believe he judged more than anyone else during the world hunt and never complained how tired he was even though everyone knew he had to be. I dont think people thank Matt as much as they should he is probably one of the best judges in Little Pack right know and probably one of the best there ever will be.

Re: Did you see any outstanding judging at the world
well boys,i must have slept wrong or bumped my head real hard last night...............
i know we had our lil tiff on here a while back, but ron wagner has been a friend to me before then and luckily,we settled our differences and we are friends again, but i just want to say,for a lil short shyt from south webster,he really did a fine job on jessie and reds cast,we only had about 15 minutes of running and on a cut and dive rabbit, but, ron and david kennedy had the same score i did and i congradulated locke before it was overwith three minutes to go.
but i watched ron and terry dean judge a cast of grands, haley, talkabout rj where in the cast, and ron and terry done a fine job there too, they had everything right, and it was a super close cast,85,80,75,75,minus out.
somethin else i wanna say, this is by far the bast world hunt as far as no one bitchin sayin they where cheated and so on,now,as for the comments about jared, wild cat,i really really like ya buddy, but, you aint been in this very long,i remember one of the first casts you judged and there where prolly 20 people there in total handling and watching, people about hit the floor when the score card was read, you scored a lot of babbling, but i have seen ya since then and your doin a nice job, point is,learn the sport a lil more before ya bash one of the best out there.
now,i am not badmouthin ya buddy, you have more heart and desire then ten men put together, you can run like a deer, and your honest, and that is sayin a lot, but, somethin i found out is what you hear and think is goin on in there aint happening.in the first round of the runnoff,i thought jessie was getting killed listening from the road, but turned out the dog i thought was winnin was blowin holes in the ground.
all i am tryin to say is this, yeah, jared aint perfect,he is a morron, but the boy can flat out judge and he is as honest as the day is long,he may have done some shady stuff in the past,i dont know, wasnt there, but,he and i have talked about this and he has been tryin and tryin to rebuild his reputation and has been doin a fine job out there,if he is as bad as what you say,he wouldnt have been judgin every round includin the finals at every big five, state and club hunt he goes to.
i talked to jared, the way he put it,you had a nice dog,but he got beat, that happens, there is no need to bash him on here and need i remind you he judges prolly more then anyone.he has judged me prolly 30 times in the last year and maybe brought me back winnin 4 or 5,but i will take him anyday, cause i know he is honest,he may get drunk the night before and drag arse, but there was a lot of that out there.
i think you have bashed him enough on here, let it go,talk to him in person, someone has to loose in every cast,i know,i lost every one.one cast i wasnt happy woith the judging either, the dog that placed 2nd spanked our butts, but i refuse to bash the judge or anyone, that is why i aint mentioning names,it aint worth it.just let it go.

Re: Did you see any outstanding judging at the world
I wish I could have made the worlds.... but alas ... no way.
I respect the judges who can get up and go ... and do it right.
I have seen brad judge .. jarred and rooster and in my eyes all three can hold their own. Boys rooster is young but think back when you was that age.. could you handle yourself like he does? He is right on in my book. Jarred is ok with me and can judge mine anytime. I lost under him ... but I lost. I think he tries to bring the best dog back. If brad could stand up and not roll through the thickest briarpatch (roy's) that we hunt he would be ok lol.
crabby...rooster...everyone who judges our club ... thanks... and i am sure everyone appreciates your effort.

Re: Did you see any outstanding judging at the world
I felt really lucky to win that cast with all those big names in there. It was one of the best casts Ive ran in, in a long time. Everyone was so laid back and friendly. My Canadian friends got some really good footage of the cast as the rabbits ran big and crossed the road several times. Great times for sure.EMeade III wrote:I was in the cast that the young boy from michigan judged and i thought he did a superb job. Some others I had not mentioned, were Matt Spencer, Bryan Johnson, Ricky Westmoreland, Chris Denniston, Philip Shields, Scott Rogers, Matt Elliott, Tony Upton, Chad Cordell, and Ryan Brewer, all did a great job on casts I was either in or out spectating.

Re: Did you see any outstanding judging at the world
Chris Denniston judged 3 of my dogs. He can run. Ole Brad Crouch ran off and left him in one of the casts though.
I only won 1 out of 3, but I was fine with the outcome. Lost by a Check once and lost by 5 once. The worst chance I had to win it won the 1st round.
The Kid from Michigan Judged me in the Grands. I ask him how he ran like that with those Ronald McDonald feet of his!!!!!

I handled a friend's dog in the first round of champions. Brad Adkins and Danell were the judges and I think they did a great job.
P.S. It's gonna hurt.
