Emmons Blue Streaker is out of Hooper's Rusty Nail, who was sired by probably one of the most influential med speed/brace gundogs, Hank's Jo Jo Blue. They trace directly back to the old Pearson Creek bloodline & from what I own/have seen of it, they throw hounds that live & breathe bunnies. They usually start early (3-4 months) and make extreme hard hunting gundogs. My bluetick who goes back to Emmons Blue Streaker is a medium speed, tho NOT a brace hound. He's got a one track mind that's to track down bunnies :camo: Has a ton of hunt/heart/rabbit sense. Nice bawl mouth, too.

One thing I'd say about this bloodline is that over the years beaglers have tried to preserve it (because it IS worth preserving) and it tends to be excessively inbred because of that. If I were going for another bred on Blue Streaker, I'd avoid a pup that was directly out of an inbreeding. JMHO.

Mr. C. L. Holland in Mississippi owned Hooper's Rusty Nail and Emmon's Blue Streaker. He sold Streaker. He also raised my dog Rebel's Last Chance, a line bred grandson of Rusty Nail. He was quitting beagles when I bought Rebel from him. You can see the only known photo of Rusty Nail on my website. My female, (deceased) Slough Foot Annie on my main page was sired by Rusty Nail and was a 1/2+ sister to Streaker. I will put a photo of Emmon's Blue Streaker on my site when I get around to it.
