If you were only a day sooner Maravic's Blue Chip would have been in the winners pack....oh well. You have some excellent dogs in there, some that I have forgot about like Cappy's Vicky. That was my kind of SPO hound. The first SPO trial I judged was at Mid Hudson and it was a qualifier. We ran it down to five hounds, and we still didn't know who the winning hound was. So we were looking at the five hounds and we picked up Sweet Water Nicole(a nice bitch that Bruce Gadaire had bought off Larry Mazza and then I think he gave her to a guy in Maine). Then we were down to 4, we kept looking at them and looking at them and then we picked up then Nr. FC Sweet Water Shadow. Then we had three on the ground and these dogs just aren't missing any turns, this dog at his old age started falling behind so we picked up FC Sweet Water Luke for 3rd. Then we were down to a brace with this older bitch and a blue tick male. The older bitch DOMINATED the male, but together they ran quick and clean and never lost the rabbit. FC Cappy's Vicky won it and FC Stanger's Blue Boy took 2nd. She surely was an awesome dog to watch.
FC Medways' Big Bernard, Loco Coco, you named probably some of the best dogs the NEHBA has seen.


Ladies and Gentlemen taking part in this...lets make our first cut in the winners pack by Tuesday at 2 PM. And then we'll start placing them. I'm going on one of those famous hare hunts with Al Slocum so I'll be back in time to figure out who are gonna be the NBQ dogs.......

I've got to bow out of one class. In the 13" bitch winners pack I've either never seen those dogs run or in one case would have to throw it out quick! Little males, hands down Ranger Dan with Log Cabin Ray second. Was he still running 5 years ago? Big bitches, Sullivan's Snappy Sheba to win as she beat Briar Patch Black Willow head to head. Big males I'll take Chase's Crockett because of his versatility slightly over Hog Hollow Harvey. By the way, if I had several of those hounds who DIDN'T make winners pack, I'd shoot every hare in the state of Maine.

I think Log Cabin Ray took a 2nd at Upper Hudson's SPO-H trial back in 1999.

Make sure you get your votes in before Tuesday and then we'll drop it so we're down to 5 and start placing them.
