Westminster Show - WOOOHOO!! UNO WON!!!

Post by Beaglemomma »

Did you all hear who is up for 'BEST IN SHOW' at Westminster? A 15 inch beagle named UNO. If he wins it will be the first time a beagle has ever won. He won the hound group. Let's all cheer him on. Hurray for Beagles :!: :!: :D It beats all the dogs with names we can't pronounce winning. There is an article in MSN.com.

Here's a little article on Uno, who is co-owned by Cathy Weichert and our own board member Leah Bertagnolli (Windkist):

Here's a more recent article from USA Today on Uno and his potential to become the next Winner at Madison Square Garden:

Way to go, Leah and Cathy...and Aaron...and everyone involved in Uno's success! Even if by some chance he doesn't bring home the gold, he's still the Golden Boy of Show Beagles! Best of luck to you all this week.

WTG Bev!!!!! :whip: I just have to add that I also have a 4yr old show CH. bitch, not out of bloodlines usually regarded for passing on hunt, but guess what? She hunts, is quite close on the line, rivaling some of my Branko breeding in line control, foot, brains, hunt & actually has the best "pack sense" of all my hounds.

Anyway, the spotlight should really be on Uno & Leah - we are rooting for them all the way! I'm so excited that this fine little hound may go on to make breed history if he wins Westminster

Good luck to Leah and Uno! Leah has been one of the nicest and most helpful people I've talked with on this board! I wonder if she will be at the Detroit Dog Show? :D
