Direct Heli Prop Son

Post by Colebuck Beagles »

I have a direct son of Heli Prop for sale. Woody is a 15 inch male directly out of Heli Prop (which is really rare). He is an open marked tri. He has a BIG bawl mouth. He hunts good and runs really good. I have owned him for a couple of months. He had not been ran much when i got him. Since getting him i have shot about 40 rabbits to him. He is a nice gundog. He does cheat for the front a little, which i don't care for, but i was told he didn't do this at a younger age. So i figure one of two things has happened. He has either lost a step and is trying to compensate to get to the front, or if you run him back in shape then he will clean up again. This dog is not ran up great, but has been hunted once or twice a wk for a few months now. He is great in the kennel and should throw some excellent pups. THE ONLY reason i am getting rid of him is because i am interested in buying a younger FC male. And i also have already bred two females to him. He is a littermate to Murray's Blazer, Murray's Holly Prop, and Murray's Little Tippy. This is an excellent cross. Woody has been in 6 trials and placed in all 6 of them. I would take $600 for him! There aren't many direct sons of heli prop left especially 15 inch males!!

I had Woody at my place (for 10 days) when he was 3 years old. I ran him every day, except maybe one, and I will attest to the fact that he's a nice, honest, clean running hound (or at least he was at that time). I didn't see a fault in him then. I think with his pedigree and the way others in his litter turned out, he'd make a great stud dog. Good luck to whom ever buys him. Terry McBride
