A few years back I met the most honest beagler that there is . It was at an ARHA little pack hunt in Sod WV. His name is Karle Griffith . He told me that it was fine to talk with them but if we was going to talk about dogs there may some lies told . If anyone attends a LP hunt and has a chance to meet Karle you will certainly enjoy the conversation :D :D :D :D

[quote="beagler282"]I sold a dog the other day and the guy wanted to just come pay me and take her home just because I said she would hunt and run a good rabbit. He took my word because I told him about a dog for sale I had seen run one time before.
This story sounds kinda like a deal I had a while back.lol I am happy with my purchase of Dixie. Her and Elmer should make some fine pups. And a added bonus,my wife thinks Dixie is sooo sweet.

You mean to tell me all this time that I have believed everything on this board to be true and it's not!
Say it ain't so.
I think that anyone wanting to buy a hound for good money should go watch him run. If you are looking for a stud hound, go watch him run. I know alot of guys will breed to a stud just because he is out of a good hound, but that doesn't mean that he can produce it. You can't expect miracles from a stud. It's more on the bitch. Alot of guys will breed an average female and expect that stud to make her throw good pups and alot of times it won't, and then it is the studs fault. I agree you shouldn't just breed papers, but those papers are what sells those pups. Most of you that will argue that fact are the one's who think pups should be 50 dollars and all you are doing is hurting the sport. JMO

I have often wondered why there are so many Boy Scouts in beagling too but I think it is a good thing. We need to support our Boy Scouts.

You fellows are right when you say "let the buyer try the hound". Why? Mostly because you never know what the other fellow expects in a dog. I once sold one of the very best gundogs I've ever owned to a fellow (she was entered in her first LPH trial, and she ran the hare down and killed it. The rest of the pack piled on her, and she wouldn't pack again, that's the only reason I'd part with her. I told this fellow (same as I always do for a gundog), "try her for 30 days, if you don't like her, bring her back and get your money." I never expected to see this hound again, once he saw her pound a hare. He brought her back in a week or so, and I asked him "Why". He said it was because she wasn't at his feet when he jumped a hare. I asked where she was, and he said she was in the swamp a bit deeper running another hare. He told me she'd run the same one for 3-4 hours till he finally shot it and caught her, but he wanted her always at his feet till he could put her on a hare he jumped. I learned then and there that it takes all kinds. Terry McBride

Hey Phil.
If you are having problems with the dog, bring him back to my place and I will replace him or give you your money back. But I want him back or no refund!!!!!

This guy bought this dog on color. Worried about being deer broke and handled good. Which he fit all three. Never asked for a trial period, to see him run, or how his hunt and style of hunt was. Never asked about any faults of the dog. I also delivered the dog! So I ask. WHO IS AT FAULT HERE???????????????????????
Bad mouth the seller, but the buyer is the fool!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My grandpa always said you pay for your education no matter how you get it!!!

So mr. BONDS BEAGLES get in your car and bring me my dog back if your not happy. Otherwise move on with your dead beat whining life. I already made one trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :loser: :loser: :loser: :loser: :loser:

White Rock, I'm curious if bondsbeagles ever called you and mentioned that he didn't like the dog because from the sounds of your post it looks like this is the first you have heard of it. :???: If that's the case then shame on him. Things happen and so do mistakes and misunderstandings but if someone is not at least told about a problem and possibly the chance to correct it if need be then it's completely unfair to bash someone's name. :bash: :blackeye:

bondsbeagles, I hope you get with white rock and work something out. He sounds like a decent guy on here.
