Just curious but how did you get permission to hunt those farms. I've always wanted to ask for permission but never get enough courage to do so. So I just stay on CA land. I always figure farmers don't want anyone on there land.

I guess first of all coaching football for 30 years and having great success has helped out. Many of the farms I hunt is in or around the school system I coached at. Many times I have just went up and talked to the farmers and many of them do not mind you hunting rabbits up in Northern Missouri. Two things in Northern Missouri that farmers will turn you down to hunt is deer and Quail hunting. I found out if you don't ask how will you ever know. Most farmers are very nice and as long as you don't tear up anything or bring to many people up to hunt they will let you hunt. The biggest problem up here is alot of the land is being rented out for deer and turkey hunters and further North for Pheasant hunting. All I can tell you is don't be afraid to ask people to hunt, all they can do is turn you down.

I have been finding plenty of rabbits my self. We shot 17 New Years Day and then 11 today. Not bad for just a few hours of hunting. We are going back again on Sat morning!

If you would sell dogs for only killing 65 rabbits, that goes to show you don't care about the sport of running hounds, it's all about kill, kill, kill and then want to wonder why you can't find rabbits.
