WV Hare

Post by BradWV »

We had another one hare day, but I guess thats better than none. Approx. a 2 hour chase with an undisclosed amount of lead put in the air!

Boy it must be nice to hunt bare gorund and white hare. We have 20+inches of snow right now and you need snowshoes to get around. The dogs can get around well.

Copperking: The good and the bad of it is that there are VERY few hare in WV...thus no snow means a hard time finding them. We turned loose at daylight and didn't jump this one until noon. However, the dogs run them like they are looking at them and they are pretty easy for us poor sighted old guys to see. Now if we could just hit them without multiple shots! LOL

BB: I will have a few picked out and saved for when you get back state side. PS: Speck is coming into heat. I will be making the same cross as before. The dog jumping for the hare in the top picture is a pup from the first cross.

All: Thanks for the comments on the dogs!

Bob,

If I talk to him, I will let him know.

Jim,

I took me 2 yrs to get him to come back up. I think he is starting to get over the brain washing that you folks put on him down there. You know what they say..you can take the boy out of the mountains, but you can't take the mountains out of the boy!
