Little Pack just needs to adpot the Progressive Pack Hound of the Year rules and the LP HOY wouldnt have to be on....off...on...off....points per dog defeated....10 pts for a win....off.....on.....off.

NKC ought to just put there foot down and do it like Progressive Pack.

From someone in central Ohio who has watched all of the Hound of the Year B.S. for the last several years, all I have to say is, it's about time.

That is a shame it is over. How long has ARHA had a HOY? I know it has been going on for at least 10-15yrs.

if im not mistaken it used to be something like that then they changed it to the points per dog entered system so that the dogs that won a big hunt would get a jump in hoy points this was done because a lot of people were complaining about people hitting alot of small hunts and were getting as many points in the hoy as dogs winning in the bigger hunts itwas change three or four years ago i do believe may be longer but you still had people holding there hounds back as they are doing now to run for points the old points use to be if i can find an old rule book ill post what the points system use to be

How do you eliminate HOY in only one format ? not trying to start an argument, but that doesn't seem fair, to only do it in Little Pack.

Well what it boils down to is all the cheating going on.Yes I said cheating! I've never been to a LP hunt but I sit back and read all the complaining that is done on here about it and I can relate because I compete in PP.The same goes on in just about every format but it's not the organization causing the problems but it's the beaglers involved in the org.The #1 cause for most of the cheating that is done is because of the HOY race. It's up to the club presidents and MOH to nip all this crap in the bud and not let it go on at their club. The people at home office get tired of listening to all the complaining going on and will fix the problem the best way they know how. It's being considered wether or not PP will keep doing it or not.Don't get mad at the people at home office but get mad at all the corrupt beaglers that compete in the sport that cause this to happen.I don't know any of you fellas that compete in LP so I am not pointing a finger at any of you.I'm just sharing with you where the problem comes from.

I think it will be a relief to the cut throat competitive environment.

Conspiracies, cheats, angles, and manipulations - People afraid to enforce rules, 5 second checks, and all the other crap that I'm tired of hearing about.

I just want to put my dog down and see how it compares with the others.
