I seen that guy. They did a story on this country on 60minutes. It is unreal the way they are living out there. They have better stuff out that way than most countries. I was amazed.

I spent $140.00 bucks on gas this weekend going rabbit hunting. I still have a half tank left. Hopefully that will last me till payday.

Gas was $2.99 on Christmas eve and christmas day but it went to $3.09 a day after. Makes no sense at all.

It's 3:15 a gallon here, why is it so high, you bet politicians get their pockets lined but the real culprits are us. We keep on keeping on no matter what the price, why would you sell a dozen eggs for a dollar if the consumer was willing to pay 3 for it? Supply and demand. Until we drastically reduce our consummation they can charge what ever they want. I'm not on a bandwagon here just stating things the way I see them. Happy New year to all. Hare

the Bush/Cheney term of office is drawing to a close. Big oil must continue to profiteer while the coconspirators are still in office.

It's less than $75 USD for day pass.

Your looking at their currency prices.

I find plitical conversation interesting. I personally have never voted a straight ticket but admittedly I normally vote republican. I wonder if many Bush bashers realize that we are most likely about to have something I don't think I've seen since I have followed politics. Let me elaborate, normally each party will have a share of control which serves to keep both somewhat in line but if we elect a democrat in the upcoming Presidential election that party will have control of most of government from the national to the local. Having said that what excuse will the democrats and all of the Bush bashers have when they don't change the tax base so it's evenly distributed across all sectors, when they give illegals free health care and don't fix health care for our own citizens, don't bring jobs back that have left the country, don't drop the gas prices that is so obvious to some of you Bush himself raised, don't fix social security and on top of that raise your taxes. They won't be able to blame the republicans because they will be out of power. Since the democratic politicians are part of the weathiest part of our society if they fix these problems I would have to congratulate them since it would be detrimental to there own income and after all it is all about the money regardless the party.

Why is diesel higher priced than gas?

You got all the babyboomers coming into retirement, but what if the job benifit & economy were such that the worry of not being able to make it put a fear of retirement into them? Could we save SS if they kept working and paying into it and never got to draw from it?...
Years ago a old man was talking to my father, he said, SS has been good to me, I've gotten out far more than I paid in, then he looked at me and said, there's the one who'll be in trouble, lucky if there's anything left for him...(well just great, I thought)

Also, did you notice after opening the Christmas gifts how many different languages you had to go through to find the english instructions... :(

In Brazil, when inflation gets so bad you pay for groceries by the wheelbarrow load of money, they just have a exchange of the money for a new colour, say, one blue for each 10 green money. Do you think this is to come with our world economy system?(cost up/dollar down)

Get your kids to take economics classes in school. Very interesting times we're living in... ;)

ps...Oh, maybe we could get them to put another $1.50 tax on tobacco to lower the gas prices, seemed to work real well with the price of health care...

If every home in this country had a solar panel on it what do you think would happen to the price of oil?
You say Solar Panels are not cost effective?
How many Solar Panels could we buy with the billions spent on the war?
How would the rag heads buy bombs if they couldn't sell oil at $90.00 a barrel.
