Just got my Trashbreaker G2 EXP back from repair today with no luck.. It wouldn't reach a tenth of a mile before I sent it in. They replaced battery and put a new antenna on transmitter.. Well I checked it tonight and all it would reach was 7 tenths of a mile.. Now that's with my wife standing at my mailbox and me driving down the road in a direct line of sight and still no good.
Just wondering if anyone else had this problem before?

I agree.. I have a loaner set to use until they get mine fixed but honestly I don't think it will work the full range either. I had some pups get off on something the other day hunting swamp rabbits in the bottoms. I had to chase them I know a good 30-40 minutes before it ever reached them. I was about 200 yards from them before I know they felt it. The loaner is a classic 70 1-mile. I have not felt comfortable with Tritronics since the old style Beagler. Now it would reach out and touch ya with no problem.
I'm not surprised if the Trashbreaker won't reach a full 2 mi. even in "perfect" conditions, but 1/10th and 1/7th of a mile is rediculous! I've never tested mine, but I've been meaning to. Now who can I get to hold the receiver for me?

I'm gonna try the longer prongs on mine. Guy I know had the same problem and switched and now says they work fine. I'm gonna try it and if that don't work, somebody at TT is getting an ear full. I went without them for a month already.

G2's
I agree with the longer prongs or tighten the collars down good. I had 2 dogs the same distance & one I had tightened up the collar on before heading out to a 2nd spot & the other I didn't. The one I had tightened down worked fine but not the other. Of course if the guy had his wife holding it I guess theres no better way to tell than that. Sometimes I'd like to put it on my wife.

Collar
I tell you i try out every collar that comes in, I will take my fourwheeler to the end of the hollow and get on the radio and tell them to hit it and see if i can fill it if not then i will start moving back toward the transmitter. No i dont put the collar on my neck i hold it in the palm of my hand of with my finger tips. and sometimes they wont reach as far as they say. So just tell your wife to hold it in her hand it dont hurt that bad, it will just put her in line when she wont listen.lol.
