Pup loosing teeth

Post by coolbrze »

Got a 5 month pup and she's lost 2 teet in the last week, I assume this is normal teething right? She's an indoor dog that hasn't been exposed to anything out of the ordinary.

This is normal their adult teeth are coming in. Not to worry the puppy teeth are just falling out. This is the time that the adult canines come in generally.

Those are "milk teeth" - temporaries that come out around 5 to 7 months. I had a year old once that I noticed was having trouble chewing his food and when I inspected I found that his milk teeth were wedged between the permanents and so I pulled them out with a pair of pliers. The gums were very inflamed in that local area but healed quickly once the teeth were out. Since then, I have keep better track of when they lose them.
