Yep looks like a young suckling doe to me as well. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to be able to compare the size of that suckling with the mature doe standing behind it. Oh yeah Ring, I do see the other white blurr in the back ground which could very well be another white one. One other reason I know it's still on the teat is because of it's buck teeth.

Guess your computers show more detail than mine..........can't really tell it's size off that pic and I wasn't there to judge it in the field. Wow such experts on a small pic.

The VDGIF asks that an albino is killed if season is open to prevent that trait from being passed on. They are genetically inferior and the trait makes the young deer easy prey for yotes and other predators. The game dept. has actually killed a few here in southwest Va. to stop the genes from being passed down.

I think we have different ideas of that old wise tale i thought it was for killing a pure albino buck with a mature rack but that story isn't a wise tale it is a part of american indian fokelore.

Agreed albino's are smaller and mangier I have 2 living on the property next to my house they are siblings one a button buck other a doe. I have watched them all summer chances are someone killed them this deer season I bet they couldn't way 50 pounds much smaller then the other yearlings. They are a result of inbreeding alot of the time the property i hunt is managed for only trophy bucks so the does here are way over numbered so this mussle loader season were going on the doe hunt try to thin out some numbers and get some good steaks.

yeah I heard it was american indian fokelore but didnt want to screw up the story. my dad said he knows a guy with a list of people who died after killing an albino. and also heard it as a white buffalo.my buddies cousin killed one two years ago so I guess ill see what happens. he still alive and kicking. But all in all albinos are special but need remove becouse of there genetics.

That's a big doe in the background standing broadsided facing the opposite way. The youngun appears to have a dark nose and eyes so I would say not an albino. It's really not that rough looking but it's hair is long and wind blown. I wish it's hooves were visible. Once you click on it thats an awfully good picture from 200 yards.
