Any one competeing?

Post by Jane »

Anyone online competeing in the Seventh Annual AKC/Eukanuba National Championship on December 1 and 2, 2007 in Long Beach, California? Or are they any standouts we should watch for? Leah or Cindy, got any hounds attending or is there a favorite you know of, did you breed any that are in it ?

YES! I am taking Ch. windkist a walk in the park for my daughter Kayla who shows him in Juniors. I am taking Ch. windkist K-Run secret of my success who qualified from the bred by class. Our top hound "UNO" will be there with his handler Aaron. Ch. K-Run's park me in first who won his 24th BIS today in Fl. We leave here on the 30th and will return on Dec 3rd.

WAY TO GO LEAH ! I'll be pulling for you ( as many on here will be too) :)
I viewed your beautiful hounds on your site. Which is very nice and well laid out. I may have to bug my buddy into letting me watch via his satelite, these darn Cdn cable nets don't usually put the show on until months later.
You are going to knock their socks off ! 24 BIS holy smokes on UNO wow, I think AKC should come up with a better term than just Ch, he's obviously very special.
Good Luck ( I don't think ya need it you got the good ones! )

I saw the dog show on Animal Planet last night. UNO is one terrific hound!
I was wondering as I watched if I "knew" you--and it turns out I kinda do--at least we share the same beagle forum. :D Congrats on your win!

My Laurie was invited because she finished her CHampionship breeder/owner handled from the Bred By classes, but we can't afford to go and right now I plan to breed her to my Joe.
Laurie is Uno's half sister and a Parker daughter out of my Honey. :)

She was such a beautiful puppy (and still is) that we named her after Laurie Dhue of FOXNEWS who my hubby had a major crush on at the time ;)

Leah, we all may be from far and away... but we support you!
You always add a tremendous contribution to this forum and it's not forgotten. Your advice is always helpful to many.
The hunter and trialers may out number the show class but you will always get our respect for what you do, and you all do it so very well.
So keep in mind, that you will not be there alone, we are cheering you on.
Cindy, I wish I'd win the lottery and give it to you ~ you deserve to go, you earned it. You dreamed big, worked hard and you made it, kind of makes my heart sink.

WoooHOOO!!! Go Team Windkist!!!

I agree with Jane and the others. The show folks on this message board have brought us so much. This board wouldn't be the same without them, in fact, they are not visitors here - they are an integral part of the board. I can't think of another beagle board where die-hard hunters and die-hard Show folks and even Pet folks live side-by-side in peace (so to speak). This speaks volumes of the caliber of people on all sides. Aren't we lucky to have that? That's what happens when love for the breed transcends personal preferences.

Leah, try to get some video clips and have them burnt to disk. I will make something we can stream from the website. Cindy, I wish you could go. :( I know you'd do well.

Thanks Bev,

I have really enjoyed this board. The information from the hunting side of beagles has been invaluable to me and gives another perspective. I respect each and every one of you here and applaud you for what you've accomplished.

I'll try to get some Video of Pluto and Goofy Bev... not sure I can do it but, it might make scrooge Mcduck happy!! :-)
