i have a buddy that did the excavt thing you just suggested......the thing is,like in his situation, you go to a hunt, start flashin cash, yeah, someone is gonna sell ya a dog and swear it is the next big thing, like i told my buddy, slow down, breathe, wait, look and find a nice hound and make you a champion, you will get more respect out there if ya do,i tried the"buy my way in"approach,it does not work, trust me,i know.plus, the day i won a lil club hunt with my 250.00 bandit hound is still the greatest day in my trial carreer, over all the big five places, state places and othe rwins, that was the best, cause like john queen said....i took a zero, and made him a hero.

rule #1 of dog buying.......if a field trialer has a dog that he thinks can win,he aint gonna sell it.

sure, there are exceptions to the rule, sometimes you can find a guy needin cash and will sacrifice a nice hound to pay the bills,i am there now,but i aint got a ready made champion,i have a couple nice hounds that you can take to akc or ckc and make you a champion.

i aint tryin to pee ya off or bash anyone, just some honest advice, find ya a nice hound, one with some places even or maybe a win, make you a fc,i am still tryin to,i have a couple now that look like they can do it,you wanna spend some cash,i will sell ya one,but ,it aint gonna be cheap,it will be cheaper than most prices i see whirlin around these days, but i will treat ya right, gimme a call,740-821-5212.

whatever ya do,try the dog out, maybe run him a week or so,if ya aint to trial knowlegeable, take someone that is to tell ya if the dog is akc material,i see dogs in lp that guys call clean and i laugh, they ever take them to akc,the walk of shame is in their future for sure.
