All white beagles?

I would give my bitch a little bigger eye. Her head is proportioned correctly although is could be broader across the skull to be perfect and I CAN see her bottom lip. Her neck flows into her well laid back shoulder and she does not have a short upper arm but, has the desire to fight me on a stack. She has a long length of rib and spring and a short loin although her body length could be shorter she is balanced. Nice short hocks and beautiful feet not, long or open nor too small. She has a slight rise over the loin and a correct tail set. Not over done in the rear and certainly NOT cowhocked. She moves free without restriction. I'd rate her like this..
skull 4 could use fuller skull
ears 10 lovely ears
eyes 3 could use rounder eye
muzzle 3 possibly fuller muzzle
neck 4 I could give her a slightly longer neck
chest/shoulders 12 Lovely front shoulders laid back and chest deep
back/loin/ribs 13 long ribs and well sprung, slight rise over loin
forelegs 8 Nice round bone, not overdone does tend to pull forward and knuckle on the stack
hips, thighs, hind legs 8 well muscled thighs short hocks
feet 9 nice feet, not open or splayed
coat 5 excellent
stern 5 excellent total 84

A very nice hound Bev. Like to see a bit more slope to pasterns. Also less flews would be nice. Like the amount of leg to amount of body. Nicely coupled and like the loin arch, tailset etc. Pelvic angle looks good also. Nice hound. He looks like he would be a high 80's to 90 type hound. Certainly good enough to do some damage at Field Trial Bench Shows on a National level and should have done same in AKC Shows if taken. Like him a lot. What is his ped.?
Will never happen, Dan. He's not AKC registered. His name is CT Blues White River Tuff Luck. UKC thought "CT" was a different registriy's title so they left it off, so he is on record as GRCH, GRHBCH Blues White River Tuff Luck. (lol). (CT Blues was short for Cottontail Blues.) He is off Dale Prunty's Tuff-E-Nuff dog and out of a Spicer's Blue Back bitch, Sinnett's Molly. Both parents were GrHBCH's and I know Tuff was a Grand Show as well. Not sure on Molly's show record, but she won the UKC World Hunt (in the field) at the age of seven. This picture was taken 2 years ago when he'd just turned 2. I think he placed 7th in the field at the World hunt that day.
Here's a more candid shot of him in the back yard, he's half crouched, but you can see the beautiful slope of his shoulder, and his more "beagley" appearance.

He's looking away, so you won't get a shot of the muzzle, but he really doesn't carry excessive flew in my opinion. As pretty as I think this hound is, he's best feature to me is that he has the head/skull/muzzle of a miniature foxhound. I will try to find some other pics of his muzzle. Believe it or not, I never got a lot of pics of him.

Very nice hound bev! Looks like he could have competed just fine in AKC shows. However a piece of paper from AKC doesn't make a dog nor does that CH in front of its name. WE as breeders have to decide what is good for our program and what we are trying to improve on. If I never entered another AKC show ring it would be fine with me. I'm happy with the Quality of dogs I have. As someone said.. "feed what you like" and I do!

Thank you, Leah. I like what you feed, too. Parker really does it for me...because not only is he beautiful, he can move to prove it. He doesn't "fall apart" per se, when he's unstacked and starts moving. I wish we could post some video clips of him gaiting in the ring. You got any?
Ohhhh, I like this latest pic (above). That's one handsome hound! The only thing I can see might be just a teensy steep in the shoulder, but not bad, really. Good leg length to body ratio - he looks really balanced. Tell us about this one - finished? On the way to finished?

Thanks Bev. I have some moving video of him but, I have NO idea how to load it and its on a DVD someone made for me. Parker just had his 6th birthday and is lookin good!
The hound in that last picture is a littermate to the bitch I posted earlier. Both are sired by parker out of a bitch that goes back to mostly Lanbur and whiskey creek. He is in Canada and is a canadian Ch. I'll be getting a son here from him soon.

here he is with the Elusive and rare green/red bunny! ;-)

Leah, he is simply a feast for the eyes - strong, powerful, confident, and pretty darn perfect to me. Look at the extension in his gait. *sighs* I could never tire of looking at Parker, and I would probably kiss all the fur off his face if given the chance. You are one very blessed person.
If you can ever get the video clips on a regular CD, I can host them. Or, if you can get someone to copy the DVD, send the copy to me and I'll see if I can convert the files to something that will stream on the internet. It would be a good thing for your website, too!
Thanks for posting those pics. I think I'll feature one of them at the top of the page if you don't mind.

Leah and Bev, DANG! I am first and foremost a grade, meat-hound, hear 'em run, bring tears to my eyes, common ol' everyday beagler. BUT--those hounds are drop-dead gorgeous. Set aside the scoring system and go with the crude, timeless "guy scale" and I say "10's." Makes my eyes hurt to look at mine, but i love 'em jsut the same. I was sitting here imagining hounds that look like that and do it in the field and Bev showed us that one. Never lose sight of the big picture and keep enjoying your hounds, God put them here to make it more bearable until He's ready for us up there.
