I fed Diamond for about a year. I have no complaints, my dogs did pretty good on it.

If you are in Rolla, the Black Gold mfg plant is just north of you. Go buy 10 bags at a time and you will save money and you won't have to make the trip very often. They have a kennel rate that is cheaper than if you just buy one bag at a time.

Yeah Emery, I was saving the extra ten miles and went south instead. When I got back to rolla he was at the family farm store here trying to get his feed sold there. He did not have any with him. I have been to the vienna store before. I hope they start selling it here in town.

dog food

Post by gunner »

I have been feeding the Diamond blue bag for about two months now. I have my dogs in an above ground kennel with wood floor slats. Thier stool is not firm at all. What kind of dog food makes a firm stool.

we fed diamond for about 4 months and had the problem with loose stool. Also the smell was horrible (from the waste). Dogs actually put on weight with less food, and the price wasn't too bad. Switched back and paying about $1.50 more per bag, but am really happy.

I feed a brand called chestnut mountain. It is made here in Va. It has no soy or midds. It may not be the best but our dogs do very well on it. Do better than black/gold, diamond, proplan. Never tried Pride, but who knows may try that soon to save about $2 / bag.
