This was this guys last photo . He was the biggest yote that we had ever seen , he came in to our bait and was caught that night in a foot trap. The bait was a huge doe and you can see he is pretty darn big.I can't find the picture of him after he was killed , he hung off of both sides of a 4 wheelers rack.....We have now killed 11 in this same little spot.[/img]

Use a ballon to call , fill up and give some different squeals they been tearing em up with it in this country.ANTHONY KERR wrote:Big Dog I heard them where I run the other night when I was on the way back to the truck. I hustled the dogs back to the box. The next evening I went out with a howler and a .243 but did not have any luck. My buddy is a beef cattle farmer, he shot one with a .300 ultramaglast year after hitting a bleat can call. He weighed about 48 lbs.
I tried to locate them with the howl and then was going to set up with a squealer. Will this work ? They don't seem to be in the same place twice.
I know guys here that run fox/ coyote dogs, but they only run them in big pens.
I am glad that Reggie will live to run another day. He must be a special hound. I hope that this does not affect him at all.

Man good to hear Reggie is gonna be ok I know how bad it can feel when you think a coyote may have killed your favorite dog.
Danny lemme know how you guys do coyote hunting out there if things don't go well send me a pm I have a few guys who live within probably 30-45 minutes from you guys who run coyote hounds and I know they would love to find some new places to go especially if you got some coyotes that will be agressive makes the chase alot shorter.

Glad he is ok. Good luck with his recovery. It would be a shame to loose a dog like that to a $2 Yote.

Kevin I hope Reggie recovers quick, I'm glad you didn't lose him.
I'm blown away at how bold these coyotes get, it not like these things are starving. They have more game than ever to pig out on. I have seen these things try to steal a flopping turkey right after somebody shot it with a 12 gauge, Its never a good ending for the yote after that!!!!!! Turkey loads work real good on Yotes.
