I can live with it! Sorry you feel like this way but hey you are entitled to your opinion. Have a great day!

When you say she was never a great reproducer I guess I would wonder what she was bred to. I own a full sister same litter to her named Aftershocks Rainbow that I bought from the Surbers a long time ago that I would not take a new truck for. She is around 10 years old and will spend her remaining years where she is. I have only bred her one time and it was to Brad Crouch's BJ dog and could not be happier with the results. I would be happy to give anyone interested the names of people that bought pups from me to see how they are doing. I would find it hard to say that she could not produce.

I was going to stay out of this because I'm pretty upset about it, (I'll get to that later), but I've got to put my 2 cents worth in now.

NoBull, what Justin is saying here is she doesn't hunt hard to find a rabbit, period. Once another dog gets the rabbit up, she joins in, drives it hard and can recover a check pretty good but not at all on snow or ice or frost. The tight mouth cost here in AKC trialing. She has been in about 7 such trials.

I know everything about her in UKC. I got every single one of her places and wins. She made dual Grand in less than 4 months and that was because I took her to every trial I could get to no matter how far away, many were 2 trials in one weekend.

One thing I was always concerned about when I let her go in a UKC hunt was when she would strike in. It was hardly ever first and I would consider myself lucky if she struck in second. Usually it would be third. Where she made up on score was on speed and drive and the other dogs who struck in before her would miss the line because she would have such a lead on them that they were playing catch up. She would be first almost every single time.

I was told by the person I bought her from that she was called "14 second Shelby" in ARHA LP. Too bad their checks are 15 seconds or she would at least be a champion there.

As far as reproducing goes, she was bred to males with pedigrees to die for, 2 litters worth. The first litter had nothing but mean bad attitudes, (at least one bit it's owner), and hard to start or would not start well after 1 year old. Only one started on day one of her starting pen days. Day 2, she would hide in the weeds and wait for one of the other dogs come through and she would "T-Bone" that dog right in the side, plainly on purpose. I believe at least 3 of that litter is now dead. One ended up in the dog pound. The others could be dead too. If they are not the should be.

Litter #2 had only 3 that I would call worth anything. tickledblue, you should count yourself lucky with Zora. The other 2 that are some what worth it are, at best, gun dogs only. Just like Wildhare2 said, one has loose lips off the lead and won't shut up when she needs to in the check pulling the other dogs every which way. The other one is tight mouth just like his mom but won't stay in the check area very long. If it doesn't recover soon, he's off to find another and you don't know where until he barks and that ain't often. There where 4 others in that litter and the results were not very good either.

There's your reproducing proof. You and I have always heard that some dogs can do it but not produce it and some can't do it but can reproduce it.

What this is really all about is we gave her away to make room for AKC trial worthy dogs. She was given to Wildhare2's cousin with the understanding that she would live her days out there with kids that would play with her and hunt rabbits ever now and then. We were dupped here. That's what we're upset about. Sorry that Wildhare2 went off on anybody. It was due to fustration.

We"ve learned a very good lesson here. We won't give dogs away ever again if I have anything to do with it, kids or no kids. I'm slowly becoming a non believer in people after this. This broke my heart seeing this happen to her. She is a very loving dog, none are better than her. Who ever owns her next, craddle her like a baby and rub her belly while holding her snout under your chin. She'll grunt softly meaning she love you for it. If I ever do again it will either be spayed or neutered and no papers.

I'll ad one more thing. Who gets her please take real good care of her because she deserves a good life but without ever having another litter. This all you will here from me about this. I'm done with it.
I'VE GOT SOME DOGS THAT ARE GONNA HURT SOME FEELINGS!!!!! I just hope it's not mine. Home of Wild Hare Kennels and FC Creek Woods Blue.

Slick, there wasn't any snow at those trials. As far as UKC there should be at least 3, because she was bred to an incentive fund male. All pups out of that breeding were UKC registered.

HERE'S A COUPLE PUPS I FOUND OF SHELBY THAT WHERE FOR SALE ON HERE........SHELBY IS NO LONGER FOR SALE!!!!!!!

The male is coming up on 2 yrs old. Shows alot of hunt and will beat the brush. Shows good foot and mouth. A little on the tight mouth side. Has potential to be a good UKC dog or a great gun dog. Sire to him is NrFC, HBCH GRCH Creek Woods Blue which is out of Turbo and Blue Iris. Pedigree for sire is on the general service section. The Dam is GRHBCH GRCH Aftershock Blue Shelby. She goes back to Arha Stuff. The sire of shelby is goose creek sam I believe. This male just needs some running time and I don't have it. I am not going to be running UKC anymore and he needs to go to a UKC hunter or gun hunter. He can earn money in UKC because he is an incentive fund male. His mother dual granded in 4 months and father won the Elimanator. The male is around 14 1/2"
